X-mas angel.

Here is a little Christmas angel for you. She wants to give you her heart.

I have made a zip for you with the dresspattern, hair, face and flowers.
Get it here.
Unzip the pattern in your PSP pattern folder
and the others in your Image folder.

Start with a New Image 350 x 350, transp, 16 mill.
New Layer. Call it Body. Preset Shapes, Rounded rectangle.
Foreground Solid, black color.

Background: the dresspattern you got in the zip.

Make a rectangle 75 x 170. 

Place it in the middle of your canvas, a little bit down.

New Layer. Call it Arm. The same settings. Make the arm 65 x 35.
Place it at the top of the body like this.

Drag this Layer under Layer Body in your Layer Palette.
Duplicate. Image Mirror.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Body.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout like this.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Hand. Foreground black color.
Background Solid, color #F3D0B9.
Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Make the hand 35 x 40. Place it at the end of the arm.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before, but change color to #8E674A. Deselect. Drag this layer under Layer Body
in your Layer Palette. Duplicate. Image, Mirror.

Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Body.

New Layer. Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Foreground black color.
Background white color.
Make a circle (a pearl) 8 x 8.Place it on top of the arm. Duplicate 4 times.
Put the pearls under eachother, like this.

Close layers Body and Hands. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Pearls.
Duplicate. Image, Mirror.

New Layer. Call it Shoes. Preset Shapes heart.

Black color on both Fore- and Background. Make the heart 80 x 65.
Selection tool, rectangle. Mark the lower part of the heart, like this.

Delete. Deselect. Place the shoes at the bottom of the body.
Effects, 3D, Inner Bevel as below.

New Layer. Call it Wing1. Preset Shapes, heart.
Line style: Dash with arrowhead end.

Make the wing 90 x 130. Place it at the back of the body.
Image, Rotate 90º left. Duplicate. Deformation tool.
Push the wing together a bit. Apply.

Duplicate. Deformation tool. Push the wing together a bit. Apply.

Close all layers except these three wing layers.
Layers, Merge, merge Visible. Call it Wing.
Duplicate. Image, Mirror. Make sure you have the wing layers
at the bottom of your Layer Palette.

This is what you will have now.

Stand on Layer Shoes. New Layer. Call it Head. Preset Shapes, Ellipse.
The same settings as on Layer Hand. Remember to change
Line Style to Solid. Make the head 65 x 70. Place it on top of the body. Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

Copy the face you got in the zip and paste is as a New Layer
or make a face of your own.
Copy and Paste the hair you got in the zip. Place it on the head.

This is what you will have now.

You can change the color of the hair by using Colorize.

If you want red color use these settings.

If you want black hair.
Colors, Adjust, Brightness/Contrast.
Set Brightness to -180. Contrast 0.

If you want the face to be darker,
use Adjust Brightness/Contrast to your liking.

Now we have to put a heart in the angels hands.

New Layer. Preset Shapes, Heart. This is an outlined heart.
Foreground black color. Background color #F02222.

Make the heart 220 x 185. Place it infront of the body.

If you don't have this heart shape, you can do like this.
Use the heart shape you like. Foreground, black color. Background closed.
Line width 10. Make the heart 220 x 185. Selections, Select all.
Selections, Float. Selections, Modify, Contract by1.
Flood fill with red color. Deselect. Place the heart infront of the body.

Get the flowers, Copy and Paste them onto the hair.

Look through your picture now. If there is anything you like to change, do so now.
Be sure all parts are in their right places.

Layers, Merge, Merge Visible and you are done.

With other colors, the angel can look like this.
