For this tutorial, you will need my
Selections.
Get them here and zip them up in your PSP, Selections folder.
Save often!
Start with a New Image 400 x 400, transparent.
New Layer. Call the Layer Heart. Selections, Load from Disk,
heart.sel.
Fill it with color #F5CC9C. Effects, Texture, Weave.

Deselect. Selection Tool, Rectangle. Make a
rectangle around the heart.
Click inside. Effects, Cutout.

Deselect.
Your heart looks like this now.

New Layer. Call it Handle. Selections, Load from Disk,
handle.sel.
Fill with color #F5CC9C. Deselect. Selection Tool, Rectangle.
Make a rectangle around the handle.
Click inside. Effects, Cutout as before.
Drag Handle Layer under Heart Layer.
Stand on Heart Layer.
New Layer. Call the Layer Leaf. Selections, Load from Disk,
leaf.sel.
Fill it with color #1D9014. Deselect. Effects,
Inner Bevel.

If you think the edges are to rough, use
Retouch Tool; Soften size1, opacity 34.
That will make the edges smoother. Effects, Sharpen.
Duplicate the Leaf Layer at least ten times
and put them where you like them best.
Some Layers you have to drag under Heart Layer and Handle Layer.
Use Deformation Tool to turn the leaves.
I placed my leaves like this.

Now to the spruce branch.
New Image 200 x 60, transparent.
Green color. Draw, Singel Line 7. Antialias
checked.
Effects, Inner Bevel, Pillow.

Make some lines along the stem. Draw, Single Line 2.

Duplicate, Effects, Inner Bevel, Pillow, only on the upper Layer. Merge Visible.
Now you have to make a test if the size is
all right. Copy and Paste as a new Layer.
If it isn't, take Resize. When you are satisfied, Duplicate and put
the branches where you like them to be.
I did it like this.

If you like what you see now, Layers, Merge Visible. Call The Layer Heart.
New Layer. Call it Lingonberry. Preset Shapes, Ellipse.
Red color on both Fore- and Background.
Make a circle 22 x 22. Keep Ctrl down while you drag.
Effects, Inner Bevel.
Duplicate, so you have at least six berries. Put them where you like.
When you are satisfied, close Layer Heart and Merge Visible. Call it Berries.New Layer. Call it Bow1. Take a color of your choice as Foreground.
Close Background. Draw, Bezier Curve, size 10. Antialias checked.
Left-click first at 1, then at 2 and 3. There you have the loop.
Effects, Inner Bevel, the same as before, but change Shininess to 10.Duplicate. Image, Mirror. Put the two loops together.
New Layer. Call it Knot. Draw, Single Line 10. Make a line 0 x 23.
Place it in centre of the two bows. Effects, Inner Bevel. The same as on the loops.It will look like this now.
New Layer. Draw, Freehand Lines 10. Make a line.
Start from the centre of the bow.
Effects, Inner Bevel. The same as before. Drag this Layer under Knot Layer.
Duplicate. Image, Mirror. Put it in place.
Layers, Merge Visible.
Now for the decoration, the two hearts.
New Layer. Call it Heart1. Preset Shapes, Heart 1. Antialias checked.
Red color on both Fore- and Background. Make sure Background is on.
Make a heart 45 x 37. Effects, Inner Bevel.
New Layer. Make another heart 35 x 29. Effects, Inner Bevel as before.
Put the hearts in place. The big one below the small.New Layer. Draw, Single Line 3. Make a line from the big heart
to the knot and make a line from the small heart to the knot.Layers, Merge Visible.
