Welcome-ladder sign.
I have made all the selections
you'll need for this sign.
Get them here and zip them up in your PSP, Selections folder.
I have also
included some Images that you will need, as well as the welcome text in
different languages. Zip them up in your PSP Image folder.
Start with a New Image 300 x 500, transp,
16 mill.
New Layer. Call it Ladder1. Selections, Load from disk,
welcomeladder, ladder1.sel.
Flood Fill with lo_wood pattern. Keep it selected. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Shirt. Selections, Load from disk,
shirt.sel.
Flood Fill with lo_checked pattern. Keep it selected. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as before.
New Layer. Call it Button. Copy and paste
the lo_button you got in the zip.
Put it in place. Draw Tool. Green color. Make a small line as thread.
Duplicate the button and put it above the
other button.
This is what you will have now.
Close layers Ladder1 and Shirt. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Buttons.
New Layer. Call it Ladder2. Selections, Load from disk, ladder2.sel.
Flood Fill with lo_wood pattern, angle 90. Keep it selected. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Shoes. Selections, Load from disk,
shoes.sel.
Flood Fill with black color. Keep it selected. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as before, but change color to #040F9A. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Pants1. Selections, Load from disk,
pants1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #07398C. Keep it selected. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Pants2. Selections, Load from disk,
pants2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #425D88. Keep it selected. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as before, but change color to #0D1459. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Head. Selections, Load from disk,
head.sel.
Flood Fill with color #F3D0B9. Keep it selected. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as before, but change color to #BB8157.
Keep it selected. New Layer. Airbrush2, color #FF3140.
Make some red on the cheeks, like this.
Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur9. Deselect.
Now get the face Image you got in the zip. Copy and paste as a New Layer. Put the face in its place.
Close all other layers, except those three head layers. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Head.
New Layer. Call it Hattop. Selections, Load from disk, hattop.sel.
Flood Fill with color #7A9843 or if you chose another color on the shirt,
choose a color from the shirt with your dropper. Keep it selected. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as before, but change color to #004000. Deselect.New Layer. Call it Hair. Draw5, Freehand Line, color #E1B47F. Also use color #FDD59B on some hair. Background closed. Make hair around the head like this.
New Layer. Call it Hatbrim. Selections, Load from disk, hatbrim.sel.
Flood Fill with color #7A9843 or with the same color you used on the hattop.
Keep it selected. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.New Layer. Get your bird Image you got from the zip. Copy and paste it as a New Image.
Place it on the hat. Duplicate. Image, Mirror. Put this bird on the leg.
New Layer. Call it Birds nest. Draw4, Freehand Line, color #738540. Also use color #CDB968
on some branches. Background closed. Make branches like this.
Duplicate and put the nest just under the other bird.
Deformation Tool. Push the nest together a bit.
New Layer. Call it Ladder3. Selections, Load from disk, ladder3.sel.
Flood Fill with lo_wood pattern, angle 90. Keep it selected. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as on Ladder2. Deselect.New Layer. Call it Hands. Selections, Load from disk, hands.sel.
Flood Fill with color #F3D0B9. Keep it selected. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Sign. Selections, Load from disk, sign.sel.
Flood Fill with lo_wood pattern. Colors, Colorize set to H: 50 and S: 50.
Colors, Adjust Brightness/Contrast set to B: 40 and C: -10.
Keep it selected. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Holes. Selections, Load from disk, holes.sel.
Flood Fill with color #494D4A. Deselect.Get the welcome text you want. Copy and paste as a New Layer. Put it in place.
New Layer. Call it Chain1. Draw3, Freehand Line, Solid line. Background closed.
Draw a straight horizontal line, about 50 x 0.
Effects, Geometric, Wave. Settings as below.
Deformation Tool. Turn the waved line to fit the hole in the sign.
Duplicate, Image, Mirror. Put it up from the hole a bit. Like this.
New Layer. Call it Chain2. Draw2, Freehand Line, Solid line. Background closed.
Now you have to connect the hole with the waved line and go further up
and connect to the other waved line and the other hole, like this.
Close all other layers except those sign layers. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Sign.
Now you will have to get the screw you got in the zip. Copy and paste it as a New Layer.
Place it on top of the sign-chain. Image, resize the screw to 10 x 10.
Copy and paste it as a New Layer. Duplicate it five times and place them on the ladder at the steps.
Close all layers except all screw layers. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Screws.Layers, Merge, Merge Visible.
That was all.
