Valentine angel.

Take my heart close to your heart.
A little angel of love, comes to you on Valentines day.

This tutorial uses some vectors. But it is not difficult. You can manage it.
I have made a zip for you containing two patterns, to her wings and to her dress.
Zip them up in your PSP Patterns folder.
The zip also includes a hair tube. Zip it up in your PSP Tubes folder.
If you like to use my face, it is in the zip also. Zip it up in your Image folder.
But of course you can make a face of your own.

Get the zip here.

Start with a New Image, 300 x 300, transp, 16 mill.
New Vector Layer. Call it Wings. Preset Shapes, Teardrop, Create as Vectors.
Foreground color #EABCC3. Background, pattern, lo_lace. Make the drop 65 x 100. 

Object Selector, Node Edit. Left click on the topnode, drag the handles like I did.

Right click, Quit Node Editing. Left click.
Right click in your Layer Palette, Convert to Raster Layer.
Image, Rotate, left 55. Effects, Sharpen once. Duplicate, Image Mirror.
Put the wings together like this.

New Raster Layer. Call it Body. Foreground, color #EABCC3.
Background, pattern lo_pwdot, size 50.
Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Uncheck Create as Vectors. Make the body 85 x 70.
Place it infront of the wings.

New Vector Layer. Call it Arm. Foreground, color #EABCC3.
Background, pattern lo_pwdot, size 50.
Preset Shapes, Teardrop. Check Create as Vectors. Make the arm 65 x 95.
Object Selector, Node Edit. Left click on the topnode, drag the handles like I did.

Left click on the bottom node. Drag the handles downwards.

Right click, Quit Node Editing. Left click.
Right click in your Layer Palette, Convert to Raster Layer. Image, Rotate right 30.
Effects, Sharpen once. Duplicate and put the arms in place.

New Raster Layer. Call it Hand. Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Color #F3D0B9
on both Fore- and Background. Uncheck Create as Vectors. Make the hand 30 x 30.
Drag this layer under Layer Arm in your Layer Palette.
Duplicate, Image Mirror. Put the hands in place.

Stand on Layer Copy of Arm. New Raster Layer. Call it Head.
Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Color #F3D0B9 on both Fore- and Background. 
Make the head 70 x 65. Put it in place.

If you like, you can make your own face now,
or you can use the one you got in the zip.
 Copy and Paste it as a New Layer. Call it Face. Put it in place.

New Layer. Call it Hair. Get the hair tube you got in the zip.
Make some hair around the head.

New Layer. Call it Headband. Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Foreground color #C7B669.
Background closed. Line width 4. Make an ellipse 55 x 40. Selection Tool.
Mark the lower part. Delete.

Deselect. Effects, Texture, Gold as below.

New Layer. Call it Spring. Draw Tool, Single line 4.
Color #C7B669. Draw a vertical line, 0 x 25. Effects, Geometric, Wave as below.

Effects, Texture, Gold as below.

Image, Rotate, right 30.

Duplicate. Image, Mirror. Put the springs in place on the headband.

New Layer. Call it Smallheart. Preset Shapes heart. Set Line width to 1.
Foreground color #FB516D and Background color #DD0125.
Set Background in your Styles to Gradient , Fading Background as below.

Make the heart 13 x 11. Image, Rotate, right 20. Image, Sharpen once.

Duplicate. Image, Mirror. Put those two hearts on the springs.

Close Layers, Background, Wings, Body, Hands and Arms.
Layers Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Head.
Layers, View, All.

Stand on Layer Wing. Selections, Select all. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

Stand on Layer Copy of Wing. Selections, Select all. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.

Stand on Layer Body. Selections, Select all. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as before, but lower the Opacity to 61. Deselect.

Stand on Layer Arm. Selections, Select all. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.

Stand on Layer Copy of Arm. Selections, Select all. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.

Stand on Layer Hand. Selections, Select all. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as before, bud change color to#D39165. Deselect.

Stand on Layer Copy of Hand. Selections, Select all. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.

Close Layer Background. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Angel.

New Layer. Call it Bigheart. The same colors and settings as on smallheart.
Make the heart 120 x 99. Place it under the angel.

Stand on Layer Background. New Layer. Call it Spring.
Draw Tool, Single line 3. Black color. Draw a vertical line, 0 x 40.
Effects, Geometric, Wave as on Layer Spring above.
Image. Rotate. right 40. Place the spring under the hand and heart.
Duplicate. Image, Mirror. Put the spring in place.

Stand on Layer Bigheart. New Layer. Call it Knot. Preset Shapes, Ellipse.
Black, solid color on both Fore- and Background.
Make the dot 4 x 4. Place it on top of the heart. Effect, 3D, Inner Bevel, Round.
Duplicate it three times and place the knots like this.

If you like, you can now add a text to your heart. Make that on a New Layer.

Delete your Background Layer. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible.
