Troll.
This is mainly a tutorial how to
make a boy-troll. But if you have a look at the bottom
of this tutorial, you can see how easy you make a girl-troll out of the same
tutorial.
Get my Selections here and zip them up in
your PSP Selections Folder.
I have also included the face and two patches. Zip them up in your PSP Image
Folder.
You will also need filter Paint Engine.
Start with a New Image, 300 x 400, transp,
16 mill.
New Layer. Call it Leg. Selections, Load from disk, troll, leg.sel.
Flood Fill with color #DFB78F. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Nails. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
nails.sel.
Flood Fill with color #C49466. Selections, Modify, Contract by 1.
Flood Fill with color #D1A57B. Deselect.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Duplicate. Image, Mirror.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Legs.
New Layer. Call it Tail. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
tail.sel.
Flood Fill with color #8F5F00. Effects, Texture, Fine Leather as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Trousers. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
trousers.sel.
Flood Fill with color #101F64. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before,
but change color to black. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Arm1. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
arm1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #226709. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before,
but change color to #004000. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Sweater. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
sweater.sel.
Flood Fill with color #226709. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before,
but change Opacity to 80. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Shadows. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
shadows.sel.
Flood Fill with color #2F4228. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Arm2. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
arm2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #226709. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as on
Arm1. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Armline. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
armline.sel.
Flood Fill with color ##2D4E20. Deselect.
Get the patches you got in the zip. Copy
and Paste them as New Layers.
Place them on the sweater, like this.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Body.
New Layer. Call it Hand1. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
hand1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #C5813F. Selections, Modify, Contract by 1.
Flood Fill with color #DFB78F. Selections, Float. Effects 3D, Cutout as on Leg,
but change Opacity to 40. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Ears. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
ears.sel.
Flood Fill with color #DFB78F. Selections, Float. Effects 3D, Cutout as on
Hand1. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Head. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
head.sel.
Flood Fill with color #C5813F. Selections, Modify, Contract by 1.
Flood Fill with color #DFB78F. Selections, Float.
Effects 3D, Cutout as before, but change Opacity to 70. Deselect.
Get the face you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it as a New Layer. Call it Face. Place it like this.
New Layer. Call it Earrings. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
earrings.sel.
Flood Fill with color #E2B414. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Hand2. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
hand2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #C5813F. Selections, Modify, Contract by 1.
Flood Fill with color #DFB78F. Selections, Float. Effects 3D, Cutout as on Leg,
but change Opacity to 40. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Hair. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
hair.sel.
Flood Fill with color #9E4A06. Keep it selected. Filter Paint Engine as below.
Deselect.
Retouch Tool, Smudge as below.
Start with a rough smudging around the
outer edges with size 10.
Then lower the size to 6 and then to 3.
Then it will look like this.
New Layer. Call it Hairlines. Selections, Load from disk, troll,
hairlines.sel.
Flood Fill with black color. Deselect. Smudge these lines as well.
Now you have to decide what the little
troll will hold under his hand.
If you would like a heart, do like this. Stand on Layer Body. New Layer. Call it
Heart.
Preset Shapes, Heart. Gradient color, Fading Foreground.
Foreground color #FF413E. Background color #C50B05 and the same settings.
Make the heart 180 x 210. Selections,
Select all. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. That was all.
If you would like to make a girl-troll,
just skip the trousers and use Deformation Tool to drag the
bottom node downwards on the sweater. Then you will have a dress. For the tail
you can take Image, Flip
and put a bow on it. Paint her nails. Make her hair black and make it longer and
"wilder". Paint her mouth
a little more. Fill a nice pattern on her dress. That is all.
