Sheep.

Need a country-sheep for your graphics?
This tutorial is an easy one. No special filters just PSP:s own.
Get my zipped patterns
here. Zip them up in
your PSP patterns folder.
A button is also included. Zip it up in your PSP Image folder.
Start with a New Image, 400 x 400, transp.
16 mill. Flood Fill the bottom layer with a color of your choice.
It doesn't matter what color, preferably a dark color. We will delete that layer
later.
We will keep it colored just to be able to see what we are doing a little better.
New Layer. Call it Body. Preset Shapes,
Ellipse. Antialias checked.
Color #F9F9F1 on both Fore- and Background. Make an ellipse 195 x 170.

New Layer. Preset Shapes,

important.
You are free to experiment with different sizes. You are going to make lots of
different ovals.
Make them on separate layers, so you can move them around. I used 10 parts.
Put them around the body like I did. Be sure they will cover the body
part.
You must not see the background shining through.
Use Deformation Tool and turn some parts a bit.

(I have resized the picture. I have put color behind, to make you se better.)

This is how the sheep looks now.

Now we will have to give him a little "country-look".
We will decorate him with two checked patches.
Take a pattern of your own choice or get the patterns you got in the zip.
New Layer. Call it Patch1. Preset Shapes,

Set the Styles box to Pattern on both Fore- and Background. Set the scale to

Turn it with Deformation Tool. Set the Styles box
to Solid Color again.
New Layer. Call it Fringes. Draw, Solid
Line1. Antialias checked.
Make small fringes around Patch1. Zoom the picture to see better.

Make sure the Fringes Layer is under the Patch1 Layer in your Layers Palette. If it isn't, drag it there.
Duplicate and put this one under Layer Patch 2.
Close all layers except Layer Patch1 and
Fringes. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Patch1.
Close all layers except Layer Patch2 and Copy of Fringes. Layers, Merge, Merge
Visible. Call it Patch2.
Turn the patches to your liking. Put Patch1 on top of Patch2.

New Layer. Call it Loop. Draw, Bezier
Curve2, Antialias checked. Color #95AC8B or whatever you like. Background closed.
Make three clicks and you have a nice loop.
First click where I have marked with 1, then click
at 2 and 3 and there it is.

Duplicate. Use Deformation Tool to turn the loops a bit. Put them together.
New Layer. Call it Bowsend. Draw, Single
Line 3. The same color you had on the loops.
Make a straight line downwords, 0 x 50.

Duplicate, Image, Mirror and put the ends at the loops. Turn
them with Deformation Tool if you like.

Get the button you got in the zip, or if
you want some other button or decoration.
Copy and Paste it as a New Layer. Put it on top of the bow.

If you like you can stop here. Delete your
Background layer, Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
or you can continue to add a little depth to the sheep.
Stand on layer Nose. Effects, 3D, Drop Shadow like this.

Stand on Layer Ears and do the same.
Stand on Layer Feet and do the same, but change Vertical to -2 and Horizontal to 0.
Stand on Layer Patch1 and do the same.
Stand on Layer Patch2 and do the same.
Delete your Background layer. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible and you are done!

I couldn't resist making this sheep as a Welcome-sign in wood also.
