Santakids on a star.
Sitting on a star eating a gingerbread-hearts, that is nice.
This tutorial is made with Selections. Get
them here and zip them up
in your PSP Selections folder. The zip also includes a goldglitter- and a yellow pattern.
Zip them up in your PSP Patterns Folder,
I have also added the boy's and the girl's faces + a bow + a hanger,
zip them up in your PSP Image
Folder.
Start with a New Image, 400 x 400, transp,
16 mill.
New Layer. Call it Foot1. Selections, Load from disk, santakidsonstar, foot1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #C0C0C0. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Leg1. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, leg1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #808080. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before.
New Layer. Call it Star. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, star.sel.
Flood Fill with the goldglitterpattern you got in the zip. Selections, Modify,
Contract by 4.
Keep it selected. New Layer. Flood fill with the yellow pattern you got in the
zip.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
Get the hanger you got in the zip. Copy and
Paste it as a
New Layer. Call it Hanger.
Place the hanger on top of the star.
Close Layers Foot1 and Leg1. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Star.
New Layer. Call it Foot2. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, foot2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #C0C0C0. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D,
Cutout as on
Foot1. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Leg2. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, leg2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #808080. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as on
Foot1.
New Layer. Call it Headboy. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, headboy.sel.
Flood Fill with color #F5CEA7. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
Get the boys face you got in the zip. Copy
and Paste it as a
New Layer.
Call it Face. Place the face on the head like this.
New Layer. Call it Hair. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, hair1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #FAC260. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as on
Headboy,
but change Opacity to 40. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Cap1. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, cap1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #ED3409. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Cap2. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, cap2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #CD2B0B. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Tassel1. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, tassel1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #F94123. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Hand1. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, hand1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #F5CEA7. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D,
Cutout as on Headboy. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Arm1. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, arm1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #CF3005. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Sweater. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, sweater.sel.
Flood Fill with color #F63A00. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D,
Cutout as on Cap1. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Cookie. Preset Shapes,
Heart.
Color #BB7803 on both Fore- and Background.
Make the heart 53 x 44. If you like, you can make some icing on it
with Airbrush1 and white color. Place the gingerbread on the hand.
Duplicate the cookie and close that layer. You will use it for the girl later.
New Layer. Call it Hand2. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, hand2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #F5CEA7. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D,
Cutout as on Headboy. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Arm2. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, arm2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #CF3005. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D,
Cutout as on Cap1. Deselect.
Now, be sure to place the gingerbread on its right place, with the Mover.
Close Layers Star + Foot1 + Leg1 + Copy of
Cookie.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Boy.
This is what you will have now.

New Layer. Call it Leg3. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, leg3.sel.
Flood Fill with color #B4B0B0. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as on
Foot1. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Leg4. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, leg4.sel.
Flood Fill with color #C0C0C0. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Hair2. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, hair2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #E89108. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as on
Headboy. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Headgirl. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, headgirl.sel.
Flood Fill with color #F5CEA7. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as on
Headboy. Deselect.
Get the girls face you got in the zip. Copy
and Paste it as a New Layer.
Call it Face. Place it on the girls head, like this.
New Layer. Call it Hair3. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, hair3.sel.
Flood Fill with color #FAC260. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D,
Cutout as on Headboy. Deselect.
Get the bow you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it as a New Layer. Place it like this.
New Layer. Call it Cap3. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, cap3.sel.
Flood Fill with color #BB0B0B. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as Cap1.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Cap4. Selections, Load from disk, kidsonstar, cap4.sel.
Flood Fill with color #E52101. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as Cap1.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Tassel2. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, tassel2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #E52101. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Hand3. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, hand3.sel.
Flood Fill with color #F1B173. Selections, Modify, Contract by 2. Keep it
selected.
Flood Fill with color #F5CEA7. Deselect. Selections, Select all.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Dress. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, dress.sel.
Flood Fill with color #F50505. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Arm3. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, arm3.sel.
Flood Fill with color #C30303. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before,
but lower Blur to 3,8. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Hand4. Selections, Load from disk,
santakidsonstar, hand4.sel.
Flood Fill with color #F5CEA7. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as on
Hand3.
Open Layer Copy of cookie and place it with the Mover under the hand.
Drag this Layer under Layer Hand4
in your Layer Palette.
Turn the cookie with Deformation Tool.
Close Layers, Foot1 + Leg1 + Star + Boy. Layers Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Girl.
If you like, you can Copy and Paste the boy
and girl as
New Images to be used for other purposes.
If you are happy with your picture, Layers, Merge, Merge Visible and that was it.
