Santa with star.
Santa has taken down a star for you. Would you like to have it?
He is made with Selections. Get
them here and zip them up in your PSP Selections Folder.
The zip also includes face, bands and star. Zip them up in your PSP
Image folder.
You will also need filter Eye Candy.
Start with a New Image, 250 x
350, transp, 16 mill. Call it Legs.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, legs.sel.
Flood Fill with black color. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Trousers.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, trousers.sel.
Flood Fill with color #12570B.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Boot.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, boot.sel.
Flood Fill with color #584D4C.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Bootrim.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, bootrim.sel.
Flood Fill with black color.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before, but change color to
#141E7C. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Bootshadow.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, bootshadow.sel.
Flood Fill with color #292F67. Deselect.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Legs.
New Layer. Call it Arm1.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, arm1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #BB0903. Deselect.
Get the bands you got in the zip.
Look in your Layers Palette for Layer Armband1.
Copy and Paste it as a New Layer. Place it at the end of Arm1.
New Layer. Call it Coat.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, coat.sel.
Flood Fill with color #CF0505.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before, but change color to
#800000. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Coatrim1.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, coatrim1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #9F8F8F.
Selections, Modify, Contract by2. Flood fill with color #808080.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Frontline.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, frontline.sel.
Flood Fill with color #BB0404. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Coatrim2.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, coatrim2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #9F8F8F.
Selections, Modify, Contract by2. Flood fill with color #808080.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Coatshadow.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, coatshadow.sel.
Flood Fill with color #860606. Deselect.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Body.
New Layer. Call it Head.

New Layer. Call it Cheeks.

Flood Fill with color #E6462C. Fill two times. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Cap1.

Flood Fill with color #E52101.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Cap2.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, cap2.sel. Flood Fill with color
#F54229. Keep it selected
Selections, Modify, Contract by 2. Flood fill with color #CF0505.
Deselect.
Eye Candy, Jiggle as below.
New Layer. Call it Beard1.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, beard1.sel. Flood Fill with white color.
Keep it selected
Selections, Modify, Contract by 2. Flood fill with color #F0F0EC. Eye
Candy, Swirl as below.
Deselect. Eye Candy, Jiggle as before.
New Layer. Call it Beard2.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, beard2.sel. Flood Fill with white color.
Keep it selected
Selections, Modify, Contract by 2. Flood fill with color #F0F0EC. Eye
Candy, Swirl as before.
Deselect. Eye Candy, Jiggle as before.
New Layer. Call it Moustache.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, moustache.sel. Flood Fill with
white color. Keep it selected.
Eye Candy, Swirl as before. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as
below.
Deselect.
Get the face you got in the zip.
Copy and Paste it as a New Layer. Call it Face.
Place it on the head.
Get the star you got in the zip.
Copy and Paste it as a New Layer. Call it Star.
Place it in the middle of Santa. Look at my picture on top of this
tutorial.
New Layer. Call it Mittens.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, mittens.sel. Flood Fill with color
#1E7B09.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Arm2.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, arm2.sel. Flood Fill with color
#CF0505.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before, but change color to
#4E0404. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Armshadow.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, armshadow.sel. Flood Fill with color
#AA2A2A. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Coatshadow.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, coatshadow.sel. Flood Fill with color
#AA2A2A. Deselect.
Get the band you got in the zip.
Look in your Layers Palette for Layer Armband2.
Copy and Paste it as a New Layer. Place it at the end of Arm2.
New Layer. Call it Cap3.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, cap3.sel. Flood Fill with color
#B62710.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Tassel.
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, tassel.sel. Flood Fill with white color.
Deselect. Eye Candy, Jiggle as before.
New Layer. Call it Eyebrows..
Selections, Load from disk, santawstar, eyebrows.sel. Flood Fill with color
#F0F0EC.
Selections, Modify, Contract by 2. Flood fill with white color.
Deselect.
Stand on Layer Star. Effects, 3D, Drop Shadow as below.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible and you are all done.
