This tutorial uses Selections.
Get them here and zip them up in your PSP Selections folder.
The zip also includes face, cone, tassels, flowers, star and shoebands.
Zip them up in your PSP Image folder.
You will also need filter Eye Candy.
Start with a New Image, 250 x 450, transp, 16 mill.
New Layer. Call it Leg1.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, leg1.sel.
Flood Fill with black color. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Shoe1.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, shoe1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #574F3F.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
Get the bands you got in the zip. Check in your Layers
Palette for Layer Band1.
Copy and Paste it as a New Layer. Call it Band1. Place it like this.
New Layer. Call it Leg2.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, leg2.sel.
Flood Fill with black color.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Shoepart.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, shoepart.sel.
Flood Fill with color #423F32. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Shoe2.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, shoe2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #574F3F.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout the same as on Foot1. Deselect.
Get the bands you got in the zip. Check in your
Layers Palette for Layer Band2.
Copy and Paste it as a New Layer. Call it Band2. Place it like this.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Legs.
New Layer. Call it Arm1.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, arm1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #2A5C32. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Coat.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, coat.sel.
Flood Fill with color #336740.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as on Leg2, but change color to
#004000. Deselect.
New
Layer. Call it Arm2.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, arm2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #2A5C32.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.
This is what you will have now.
Close Layer Legs. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Coat.
New Layer.
Call it Cane1.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, cane1.sel.
Flood Fill with white color. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Cane2.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, cane2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #E60606. Deselect.
Close Layers Legs and Coat. Layers. Merge, Merge
Visible. Call it Cane.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as
below.
Deselect.
Get the star you got in the zip. Copy it 8 times and put the stars on the red parts of the cain.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Body.
New Layer. Call it Mittens1.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, mittens1.sel.
Flood Fill with white color.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Mittens2.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, mittens2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #D7D8D7. Deselect.
Get the tassels you got in the zip. Copy and Paste them as a New Layer.
Place them on the left mitten.
Get the flowers you got in the zip. Copy and Paste them as a New Layer. Place them on the mittens.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Body.
New Layer. Call it Head.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, head.sel.
Flood Fill with color #F3D0B9. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Blush.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, blush.sel.
Flood Fill with color #F6846A. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Beard1.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, beard1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #EDEBEB.
Selections, Modyfy, Contract by 4. Fill with white color. Eye Candy,
Swirl as below.
Deselect. Eye Candy, Jiggle as below.
New Layer. Call it Beard2.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, beard2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #EDEBEB.
Selections, Modyfy, Contract by 2. Fill with white color. Eye Candy,
Swirl as before.
Deselect. Eye Candy, Jiggle as before.
New Layer. Call it Beard3.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, beard3.sel.
Flood Fill with color #EDEBEB.
Selections, Modyfy, Contract by 2. Fill with white color. Eye Candy,
Swirl as before.
Deselect. Eye Candy, Jiggle as before.
New Layer. Call it Moustache.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, moustache.sel.
Flood Fill with color #EDEBEB.
Selections, Modyfy, Contract by 2. Fill with white color. Eye Candy,
Swirl as before.
Deselect. No Jiggle on the moustache.
Get the face you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it and put it on the head. Call the layer Face.
New Layer. Call it Cap1.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, cap1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #E60606.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as on Layer Mittens. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Cap2.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, cap2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #C40606.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Cap3.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, cap3.sel.
Flood Fill with color #EDEBEB.
Selections, Modyfy, Contract by 2. Fill with white color. Eye Candy,
Swirl as before.
Deselect. Eye Candy, Jiggle as before.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as
below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Eyebrows.
Selections, Load from disk, santa_with_candy, eyebrows.sel. Flood Fill with color #EDEBEB.
Selections, Modyfy, Contract by 2. Fill with white color. Deselect.
Get the cone you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it and put it at the end of Cap2. Call the layer Cone.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible and you can now taste the candy Santa treats you.
