Santa rabbit.
 
This
little santa rabbit is made with Preset Shapes. It is very easy.
I hope you will like this way of making pictures.
Get the Preset Shape, Teardrop
here, if you don't have it already.
Zip it up in your Preset Shapes folder.
Start
with a New Image 150 x 150, transp, 16 mill.
New Layer call it Tail. Preset Shapes, Ellipse. White color on both
Fore- and Background.
Antialias checked. Make an ellipse 9 x 12.
Look at the list at the bottom of your screen.
Place the tail at the bottom of your Image and to
your left.
New Layer. Call it Leg1. Preset
Shapes with the same settings as before.
Change color to #A0A1A2 on both Fore- and Background. Make the leg
15 x 35.
Image, Rotate, Left 22. Image, Sharpen once. Place the leg,
according to the tail, like this.
I have put the parts on a dark background, so you can see better
where to place them.

New Layer. Call it Foot1. Preset
Shapes, settings as before, but change color to #C0C0C0
on both Fore- and Background. Make an ellipse 12 x 33. Image, Rotate,
Right 10.
Place the foot like this.

New Layer. Call it Sole1. Preset
Shapes, the same as before, but change color to #F5DFE0
on both Fore- and Background. Make an ellipse 3 x 6. Image, Rotate,
Right 5.
Place it on top of the foot. Look at the picture below.
New Layer. Call it Toe1. Preset
Shapes the same as before.
Make an ellipse 1 x 4. No rotating.
Place it on top of the foot, over Sole1.
Duplicate and place the other
toe beside the first one.

Stand on layer Leg1 in your
Layers Palette. Effects, Texture, Fur as below.

Stand on layer Foot1 in your
Layers Palette. Selections, Select all. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.
Stand on layer Sole1.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as
below.

Deselect.
Do the same with layers Toe1
and duplicated Toe1.
Close layer Tail. Layers,
Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Leg1.
This is how it looks.

New Layer. Call it Arm1. Preset
Shapes, the same as before, but change color to #ABABAB
on both Fore- and Background. Make an ellipse 30 x 18. Image, Rotate,
Left 10.
Place it above the leg as below.

New Layer. Call it Arm2. Preset
Shapes, the same as before.
Make an ellipse 14 x 30. Image, Rotate,
Right 40. Effects, Sharpen once.
Place it above the arm as below.

Close layers Tail and Leg.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Arm1.
Effects, Texture, Fur as before.
New Layer. Preset Shapes,
Ellipse. Foreground color #676767. Background closed.
Make an ellipse 8 x 9. Place it on top of the hand. Selection Tool,
Freehand.
Mark the part you will remove.

Delete. Deselect. Close layers,
Tail and Leg1. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Arm1.
New Layer. Call it Body1. Preset
Shapes, the same as before, but change color to #C0C0C0
on both Fore- and Background. Make an ellipse 40 x 55. Image, Rotate,
Right 15. Place it like this.

Make sure the body is separated
from the tail a bit.
New Layer. Call it Body2.
Preset Shapes as before. Make an ellipse 28 x 23.
Place it between the body and the tail.

Close layers Tail, Leg1 and
Arm1. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Body.
Effects, Texture, Fur as before.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as
below.

Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Arm2. Preset
Shapes as before. Color #B5B3B3 on both Fore- and Background.
Make an ellipse 30 x 17. Image, Rotate,
Right 25. Place the upperarm on the body.
New Layer. Call it Arm3. Preset
Shapes as before. Color #B5B3B3 on both Fore- and Background.
Make an ellipse 30 x 15. No rotating.
Place the lowerarm on the upperarm.
The paw will be touching the foot.

Close layers Tail, Leg1, Arm1
and Body. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Arm2.
Effects, Texture, Fur as before.
New Layer. Call it Pawline.
Foreground color #676767. Background closed.
Make an ellipse 8 x 9. Place it on top of the paw. Selection Tool,
Freehand.
Mark the part you will remove.

Delete. Deselect. Duplicate the
layer and place this Pawline under the first one.

Close layers Tail, Leg1, Arm1
and Body. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Arm2.
New Layer. Call it Leg2. Preset
Shapes with the same settings as before.
Change color to #B5B3B3 on both Fore- and Background. Make the leg
42 x 27.
Image, Rotate, Left 25. Effects, Sharpen once. Effects, Texture, Fur
as before.
New Layer. Call it Toe1. Preset
Shapes with the same settings as before.
Color #C0C0C0 on both Fore- and Background. Make the toe 8 x 18.
Image, Rotate, Left 4.
Place the toe infront of Leg2.
New Layer. Call it Toe2. Preset
Shapes with the same settings as before.
Make the toe 8 x 18. Image, Rotate, Left 20. Put this toe to the
left of the first one.
New Layer. Call it Toe3. Preset
Shapes with the same settings as before.
Make the toe 8 x 18. Image, Rotate, Left 10. Put this toe between
the other toes, like this.

New Layer. Call it Foot2.
Preset Shapes with the same settings as before.
Make the foot 13 x 21. Image, Rotate, Left 35. Put the foot on top
of the toes like this.

Close layers Tail, Leg1, Arm1,
Body and Arm2. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Foot2.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as
below.

Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Toe1. Preset
Shapes with the same settings as before.
Color #F5DFE0 on both Fore- and Background.
Make the toe 2 x 4.
No rotating.
Place the toe on Foot2.
Duplicate this layer and place
the toe to the left of the first one.
Duplicate again and place the
toe to the left.
New Layer. Call it Sole2.
Preset Shapes with the same settings as before.
Color #F5DFE0 on both Fore- and Background.
Make the sole 4 x
8. Image, Rotate, Left 10.
Place the sole on Foot2 under the toes like this.

Close layers Tail, Leg1, Arm1,
Body, Arm2, Leg2 and Foot2. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout the
same as on Sole1. Deselect.
Close layers Tail, Leg1, Arm1,
Body, Arm2 and Leg2. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible.
Call the layer Foot2. Effects, 3D, Drop Shadow as below.

Close layers Tail, Leg1, Arm1, Body and Arm2. Layers, Merge, Merge

Put this part ontop of the head like this.

Close Layers Tail and Body.

Effects, Texture. Fur as before.
New Layer. Call it Ear1. Preset
Shapes with the same settings as before.
Color #C0C0C0 on both Fore- and Background. Make the ear 15 x
25.
Image, Rotate, Right 15.
Put the ear on the head to the right.
Selections, Select all.
Selections, Float. Effekts, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Ear2. Preset Shapes
with the same settings as before.
Make the ear 15 x 25.
Image, Rotate, Left 40. Put the ear on the head to the left.

Change to color #D0BAC2 on both Fore- and Background. Make the
innerear 8 x

Make the eye 4 x
6. Image, Rotate, Left 8. Put the eye on the
white eye.

Black color on both Fore- and Background.
Make the eye 2 x

brown eye.
Arange the parts according to the picture below.

New Layer. Call it Chin1. Preset Shapes with the same settings as before.
White color on both Fore- and Background. Make the chin 8 x 10.
Image, Rotate, Right 60. Place it at the bottom of the head.
New Layer. Call it
Cheek1.Preset Shapes with the same settings as before.
White color on both Fore- and Background. Make the chin 20 x 10.
No rotating. Place it on the head.
Duplicate the layer. Image,
Rotate, Left 50.
Place these three parts like this.

New Layer. Call it Muzzle.
Preset Shapes with the same settings as before.
White color on both Fore- and Background. Make the muzzle 14 x 14.
Place it on the head like this.

You might have to adjust the
eyes to get it right. Make sure the muzzle covers the eyes just a
bit.
Close Layers Tail, Body, Head,
Ears, Eye1 and Eye2. Layers, Merge,
Merge Visible. Call it Muzzle.
New Layer. Call it Nose. Preset Shapes with the same settings as
before.
Color #F1657A on both Fore- and Background. Make the nose 5 x 4. Image,
Rotate, Left 15.
Place it on the muzzle like this.

New Layer. Call it Mouth. Preset Shapes,
Ellipse. Foreground color #E2DFE5. Background closed.
Make the mouth 10 x 11. Selection tool, Rectangle. Antialias checked.
Mark the part you will remove.

Delete.
Duplicate. Image, Rotate, Left
40. Effects, Sharpen once. Place the mouthparts like this.

New Layer. Call it Tongue.
Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Color #EDAEAF
on both
Fore- and Background. Make the tongue 2 x 2. Place it on the mouth.

That was so far.
Have a look at your picture. Do
you want to change anything, do so now.
We will do some smudging on the
tail now.
Retouch tool, Smudge as below.

Smudge with tiny strokes
outwards. You can use either size 2 or 3.

You can smudge the muzzle also,
but it is not necessary. Do whatever you like.

Stand on Layer Head, in your
Layer Palette. Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Keep it
selected.
New Layer. Call it Cheeks. Airbrush2, color #F39092. Layers,
Arrange, Bring to top.
Make some red on the cheeks.

Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur 3.
Deselect.
Stand on Layer Eye2
in your Layer Palette.
Airbrush1, white color.
Make a dot on each eye, like this.

Close layer Ears. Layers,
Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Body.
Now to the cap.
Stand on Layer Body in your Layer Palette.
New Layer. Call it Cap1. Preset Shapes with the same settings as
before.
Color #E52101 on both Fore- and Background. Make the part 14 x 21. Image, Rotate,
Right 30.
Place it like this.

New Layer. Call it Cap2. Preset Shapes with the same settings as
before.
Make the part 10 x 18. Image, Rotate, Right 20.
Place it like this.

New Layer. Call it Cap3. Preset Shapes with the same settings as
before.
Make the part 30 x 20. Image, Rotate, Left 10.
Place it like this.

Close Layers, Body and Ear.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Cap.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float, Effects, 3D, Cutout as
below.

Deselect.
Stand on Layer Ears in your
Layer Palette.
New Layer. Call it Brim. Preset Shapes with the same settings as
before.
White color on both Fore- and Background. Make the brim 10 x 40. Image, Rotate,
Right 70.
Place it infront of the ears.

Retouch Tool, Smudge as before.
Smudge the brim with tiny outgoing strokes.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as
below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Tassel. Preset Shapes with the same settings as
before.
White color on both Fore- and Background. Make the tassel 8 x 8. Image, Rotate,
Right 70.
Place it at the end of the cap.
Close Layers, Body, Ears and
Brim. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Cap.
Make sure you will have the layers in your Layer Palette like this.
From the bottom: Body, Cap Ears, Brim.
Now we will make an ornament
for him to hold.
New Layer. Preset Shapes,
Teardrop. Color #E60606 on both Fore- and Background.
Make the drop 15x20. Duplicate. Image, Flip. Put the two pieces
together.

Close all layers except these
two layers. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Ornament.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as
below.

Keep it selected. New Layer. Airbrush 1. Color #FFF5F5. Make a small
line down on the ornament.

Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur
0,70. Deselect.
New Layer. Preset Shapes,
Pentagon. Color #B9AA65 on both Fore- and Background.
Make the hanger 3 x 5. Place it ontop of the ornament. Effects,
Texture, Sculpture.
Look in the Preset Box for Gold. Use that.
New Layer. Preset Shapes,
Ellipse. Foreground color #B9AA65. Background closed.
Make an ellipse 3 x 18. Effects, Texture, Sculpture, Gold.
Close Layers Body, Cap Ears, Brim. Layers, Merge, Merge
Visible. Call it Ornament.
Place it on the rabbits hand.
Stand on Layer Body. Retouch tool, Smudge. Settings as before.
Smudge the leg and arm a little.

Have a look at your picture.
Would you like to change anything, do so now.
I suggest that you save the
rabbit like this, without merging with the cap,
so you can use him even when it is'nt Christmas. When you want him
with the cap,
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible.
That was it.
