Santa is delivering parcels in a hurry.
I have made Selections
for you to use. Get them
here and zip them up in your PSP, Selections folder.
I have also included the face. Zip it up in your PSP Image Folder.
Start with a New Image, 300 x 250, transp,
16 mill.
New Layer. Call it Blade. Selections, Load from disk, santainplane, blade.sel.
Flood Fill with black color. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Cone. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, cone.sel.
Flood Fill with color #808080. Effects, 3D, Inner Bevel as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Strut. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, strut.sel.
Flood Fill with color #808080. Effects, 3D, Inner Bevel as before. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Wheels. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, wheels.sel.
Flood Fill with black color. Effects, 3D, Inner Bevel as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Center. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, center.sel.
Flood Fill with color #808080. Effects, 3D, Inner Bevel as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Arm1. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, arm1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #C73007. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Santasbody. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, santasbody.sel.
Flood Fill with color #E53701. Effects, 3D, Cutout the same as before,
but change Blur to 20. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Steeringwheel. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, steeringwheel.sel.
Flood Fill with black color.
Effects, 3D, Inner Bevel as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Planesbody. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, planesbody.sel.
Flood Fill with color #DCDADA.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Rim. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, rim.sel.
Flood Fill with color #951B07. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Stripes. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, stripes.sel.
Flood Fill with color #951B07. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Lines. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, lines.sel.
Flood Fill with color #951B07. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Wings. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, wings.sel.
Flood Fill with color #808080.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Stars. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, stars.sel.
Flood Fill with color #FCB816. Deselect.
Close layers Arm1 and Santasbody.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Plane.
Make all layers visible again. Make sure that layer Plane,
is on top in your Layers Palette.
This is what you will have now.
New Layer. Call it Hands. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, hands.sel.
Flood Fill with color #3B720A.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Head. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, head.sel.
Flood Fill with color #F3D0B9.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
Get the face you got in the zip. Copy
and Paste it as a New Layer.
Call the Layer Face. Place the face like this.
New Layer. Call it Bag. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, bag.sel.
Flood Fill with color #C09D60.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Shadowlines. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, shadowlines.sel.
Flood Fill with color #A98957. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Rope. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, rope.sel.
Flood Fill with color #C07017. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Arm2. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, arm2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #C73007.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before.
New Layer. Call it Beard. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, beard.sel.
Flood Fill with color #CDD5D5.
Selections, Modify, Contract by 1. Flood Fill with white color.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
Effects, Texture, Fur as below.
Retouch tool, Smudge. Settings as
below.
Smudge the beard with tiny strokes
outwards.
New Layer. Call it Moustach. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, moustach.sel.
Flood Fill with color #CDD5D5.
Selections, Modify, Contract by 1. Flood Fill with white color.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Cappart1. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, cappart1.sel.
Flood Fill with color #B22904.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.
Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Cappart2. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, cappart2.sel.
Flood Fill with color #E53701.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Brim+tassel. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, brim+tassel.sel.
Flood Fill with color #CDD5D5.
Selections, Modify, Contract by 1. Flood Fill with white color.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout the same as on layer Beard.
Deselect. Effects, Texture, Fur
the same as on layer Beard.
Retouch tool, Smudge. Settings as
on layer Beard.
Smudge the brim and tassel with tiny strokes
outwards.
New Layer. Call it Eyebrows. Selections, Load from disk,
santainplane, eyebrows.sel.
Flood Fill with color #CDD5D5.
Selections, Modify, Contract by 1. Flood Fill with white color. Deselect.
Stand on layer Arm2. Effects, 3D,
Drop Shadow as below.
Stand on layer Bag. Effects, 3D, Drop Shadow as
before.
Have a look at your picture. Do you
want to change anything, do so now.
When you like what you see, Layers, Merge, Merge
Visible and you are finished.
