Santa and Snowman.


Santa and Snowman are best buddies, I think.

Get my selections here. Zip them up in your PSP Selections folder.
The zip also includes the text. Zip it up in your PSP Image folder.

Start with a New Image, 220 x 220, transp, 16 mill.
New Layer. Call it Santascarf1. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, sa-scarf1.sel. Flood Fill with color #41755B .
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Santascarf2. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, sa-scarf2.sel. Flood Fill with color #539373.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Santahead. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, sa-head.sel. Flood Fill with color #F5CDB7.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Santacheeks. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, sa-cheeks.sel. Flood Fill with color #F78E83 twice. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Santaeyes. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, sa-eyes.sel. Flood Fill with black color.
Effects, 3D, Inner Bevel, Round. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Beard. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, beard.sel. Flood Fill with color #DEEAE9.
Selections, Modify, Contract by 2. Flood fill with white color. Deselect.
Effects, Geometric, Wave as below.

Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect. Effects, Texture, Fur as below.

Retouch tool, Smudge as below.

Smudge the beard with tiny strokes outwards. Effects, Texture, Fur once again.
The same settings. No more smudging on the beard.

New Layer. Call it Moustache. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, moustache.sel. Flood Fill with color #DEEAE9.
Selections, Modify, Contract by 2. Flood fill with white color.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

This is what you will have now.

New Layer. Call it Nose. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, nose.sel. Flood Fill with color #D1A27F.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Santacap1. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, sa-cap1.sel. Flood Fill with color #D42002.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Santacap2. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, sa-cap2.sel. Flood Fill with color #A11903.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Eyebrows. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, eyebrows.sel. Flood Fill with color #DEEAE9.
Selections, Modify, Contract by 2. Flood fill with white color. Deselect.

Look at your picture. Do you want to change anything, do so now.
When you like what you see, Layers Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Santa.

Now to the snowman.

New Layer. Call it Snowmanhead. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, sn-head.sel. Flood Fill with color #D5F3F3.
Selections, Modify, Contract by 2. Flood fill with white color. Deselect.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Snowmancheeks. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, sn-cheeks.sel. Flood Fill with color #F78E83 twice. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Snowmanmouth. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, mouth.sel. Flood Fill with black color. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Snowmaneyes. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, sn-eyes.sel. Flood Fill with black color.
Effects, 3D, Inner Bevel, Round. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Carrot. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, carrot.sel. Flood Fill with color #F99700.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Snowmancap1. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, sn-cap1.sel. Flood Fill with color #0088C0.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Snowmancap2. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, sn-cap2.sel. Flood Fill with color #066A94.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Snowmanscarf1. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, sn-scarf1.sel. Flood Fill with color #083270.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Snowmanscarf2. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, sn-scarf2.sel. Flood Fill with color #083784.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

Close layer Santa. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Snowman.

New Layer. Call it Star. Preset Shapes, Star. Line width 2.
Foreground color #FDBA07. Background color #FEE82A.
Make the star 135 x 128. Place it between Santa and Snowman.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Redmitten. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, redmitten.sel. Flood Fill with color #C31E03.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Whitemitten. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, whitemitten.sel. Flood Fill with color #D5F3F3.
Selections, Modify, Contract by 2. Flood fill with white color. Deselect.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Tassel. Selections, Load from disk,
Santa-and-Snowman, tassel.sel. Flood Fill with white color.
Deselect. Effects, Texture, Fur. The same as on Beard.
Retouch tool, Smudge as before. Smudge the tassel a bit.
Selections, Select all. Selection, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

Get the text you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it as a New Layer.
Put it on top of the star.

Finally, have a look at your picture.
Do you want to change anything, do so now.

Layers, Merge, Merge Visible and you are done.
