This is a pipe-cleaner Santa.
He is hanging on my Christmas tree at home and from now on, he exists in my computer world as well.
I made him with some Preset Shapes. I also used Eye Candy for his beard.

Use the hat in this zip. Zip it up in your PSP, Preset Shapes folder.

Letīs start with a New Image, 300 x 400, transparent.
Fill the Layer with white color. Close the Layer.

New Layer. Call it arms. Draw, Singel Line 13, Antialias checked. Black color.
Make a horizontal line 200 long. Watch the numbers at the bottom of your screen.


 

New Layer. Call it leftleg. Make a new line. Vertically. The same length.

Duplicate the layer. Call it rightleg. Image, Mirror. Take the Mover and put them a little closer to each other.

Stand on layer arms. Close the other ones.
Go to Effects, Geometric, Wave, as shown below.

Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur 2.

Close arms and open leftleg. Effects, Geometric, Wave, as below.

Close leftleg and open rightleg. Effects, Geometric, Wave, as earlier. Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur 2. 

New layer. Call it cloth. Preset Shapes. Color: foreground and background red.
Make a circle 180. Keep shift down while you draw. That makes the circle round.

Selection Tool, rectangle. Mark as I did.

Fill the selected area with a little darker red. Copy and Paste as a New layer, and call it backcloth.
Go back to layer cloth and Delete the selected area. Deselect.

Stand on backcloth. Go to Image, Flip. Drag the backcloth layer under leftleg layer.
Deformation Tool. Pull the cloth upwards and sidewards.
Keep Ctrl down, while you drag where the arrow show.
It shall be a little larger than the front cloth. Apply.

Stand on Layer cloth. Make a selection around layer cloth with the Selection Tool.  Click inside.
New Layer. Make lines with Airbrush 4, Opacity 50, black color.

Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur 18. Deselect. Merge visible, All Layers. Call it body.

New layer. Call it hand. Preset Shapes, Sphere. Retain style. Make it 30 x 30.
Duplicate the layer and put the other hand in place on the other arm.

New layer. Call it foot. Make a ball 34 x 34. Put it in its place.
Duplicate the layer and put the ball on the other leg. Keep Layer one closed. Merge visible.
Call the layer body.

It looks like this now.

New layer. Call it head. Preset Shapes, button.

Make a ball 30 x 30 and put it in place.

New layer. Make two black eyes with Airbrush 8, round.

New layer Preset Shapes, Ellipse, Retain Style. Make a small circle above the eye.
With the Selection Tool, you mark more than half of the circle. Deselect.

That way you will have a nice rounded eyebrow. It can be a bit difficult on free hand.
Duplicate and put the other brow in its place.

New layer. Preset Shapes, Crescent, Retain Style.

Draw a small mouth. Deformation Tool. Turn it, so you will have the mouth the right way.
Maybee you will have to zoom the picture to be able to turn the mouth.

My head looks like this now.

Turn off Layer 1 and body Layer. Merge visible. Call it head.

New Layer. Call it cap. Use the Preset Shapes, lo-santahat you got in the zip.
Make the hat 99 x 56.

New Layer. Preset Shapes, Ellipse, red color on both Fore- and Background.
Make the brim 70 x 15. Place the ellipse at the caps lower part.

Effects, Geometrics, Wave.

Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur 2. Duplicate and the pipe-cleaner will be a little fluffier.

New Layer. Preset Shapes, red. Make a circle an put it at the end of the cap. Gaussian Blur 2.
Duplicate and the ball will be fluffier too.
New Layer. Put some lines on the cap . Gaussian Blur 11.

Turn off Layer1 + body + head. Merge visible and call the layer cap.

Make all layers visible, except for Layer 1.

Now for the beard.
Stand on layer head. New Layer. Airbrush 3. Color #808080.
Paint like this.

Eye Candy, Fur, Short gray whiskers.

If you like his beard to be white, select white color instead of gray.

New Layer. Preset Shapes, Button 051, Retain Style.

Make a button on the coat. Add some red colour with the bucket, Opacity 40.
Make 4 little hoals in it with black color. Duplicate and put the second button in place.

New Layer. Make little black dots at the end of the balls on the hands and feet.

 Layer 1, Delete. Merge Visible to the rest.

If you would like Santa to have white fur on the cap, it can look like this. The same settings as above.

Your Santa is done. Have a look at him. Isnīt he cute?
