Sailing-boat.

This is an easy tutorial in making this sailing-boat.
Open your Layers Palette.
Start with a New Image 200 x 250, transparent. Fill the layer with color #CCD9FE.
Make a New Layer. Call it Sail 1.
Preset Shapes, triangle, Vector checked. Set both Foreground- and Background
color to white.
Draw a triangle size 50 x 160.
Object Selector
, Node Edit. Pull the node,
marked with an arrow,
to a straight line to the right. Use the checkers in your Background to make it
straight..

Right click in your Image and Quit Node
Editing. Left click in your picture.
Right click in your Layers Palette and Convert to Raster Layer.
Duplicate this layer. Call the layer Sail2.
Image, Mirror. Put the sail in place with the Mover.

Deformation Tool.
Push the sail down a bit. Use the node shown.


Stand on Layer Sail2. Flood Fill
with a striped pattern.
New Layer. Call it Boat. Preset Shapes,
Ellipse. Color #3C0795 on both Fore- and Background.
Put on Solid color in your Styles box. Make an Ellipse 110 x 40. Selection Tool,
Rectangle.
Cut off half of the oval with your Delete button.

Deselect. Put the parts in place.
Close Background Layer. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible to the rest. Call the Layer Boat.
New Layer. Call it Wave. Draw Tool, Single Line as shown below.

Foreground color #046DB0. Make a line 165 long.
Effects, Geometric Effects, Wave, as shown.

Duplicate that layer two times and put the waves in place with your Mover.

Close Background Layer and Layers, Merge, Merge Visible to the rest.
Stand on Background Layer. Flood Fill with
whatever you like to have as a background.
I chose a lightblue heaven. Color #CCD9FE. You might want something else.
New Layer. I wanted a sun in my picture, so I used Airbrush, click on Brush
Types and choose Custom.
Select Brush 111. That's the sun.

Foreground color #FEC52A.
Put the sun where you like it the most. Try higher or lower. I put my sun in the
middle.
Layers Merge, Merge Visible and you are done.
