Easy rose.

This is a very easy way of making a rose.
You will be using your own skill now.
Start with a New Image, 400 x 400, transp,
16 mill.
New Layer. Call it Petal1. Airbrush4. Color #BB3532.
Make some curved lines like this. I drew it in just one stroke
without lifting my hand at all. Start at the centre and go further and further
out.

Magic Wand. Keep Shift down and click
inside the flower.
Zoom the picture to see that all is selected.
New Layer. Call it Petal2.
Flood fill with color #EE2659 inside your selections. Keep it selected.

New Layer. Call it Petal3. Airbrush3, color
#8E2424. Make some shadow marks like this.
Those parts will look as if they are low.

Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur4. Keep it
still selected.
New Layer. Call it Petal4. Airbrush3, color #FA4D7F. Make some marks
on places you will mark as raised.

Deselect.
Stand on Layer Petal1. Layers, Arrange, Bring to top. Retouch Tool, Smudge as below.

Smudge the edges very gentle all the way
around. Zoom the picture to see better.
Try to get the strokes pointing against the centre. You can alternate between 2
- 4 in size.
If you "smudge away" too much, you can add some more color with your
Airbrush.
Stand on Layer Petal3 and do just a little smudging.
Stand on Layer Petal4. Layers, Arrange, Bring to top. Smudge against the centre.

When you are done, Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Flower.
Now we will make some easy leaves also.
New Layer. Call it Leaf. Preset Shapes, Club1.

Color #3FA136 on both Fore- and Background.
Make the leaf about 185 x 215.
Freehand tool. Antialias checked. Follow the "stalk". Make the line slightly
bent.

Delete. Do the same on the other side of the "stalk".

Delete. Now you have got the stalk ready. Now to the leaves.
Use Freehand tool again. Try to make the edges a little jaggy.

Delete. Do the same with the other leaves.

Delete.

Delete.
Now look at the leaves. These are my leaves so far.

Use the Eraser if you need to erase something.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float.
Keep it selected.
New Layer. Airbrush2. Color #298C0A. Paint some veins on the leaves.

Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur1.
Keep it still selected. New Layer.
Airbrush2, color #257C0A.
Make some dark lines along the veins.

On the same layer use Airbrush2, color #3FC90F and make some light parts.

Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur4. Deselect.
This is the leaf now.

Close Layer Flower. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Leaf.
Easy wasn't it? Now duplicate this leaf. Turn
it with Deformation Tool.
Stand on Layer
Flower. Layers, Arrange, Bring to top.
Drag the parts with your Mover, where you like them to be.
If you like to
make a bud also. Do like this. New Layer. Preset Shapes, Teardrop.
Color on Foreground #BB3532 and Background #E0355F. Line width2. Antialias
checked.
Make the drop 30 x 50. Duplicate. Image, Rotate, left 10. Duplicate, Image,
Mirror.
Put the parts together with your Mover like this.

Close all layers except those three buds
layers. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible.
New Layer. Airbrush2, color #298309. Make a stalk
and leaves to the bud.

Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Bud.
Now you have to arrange the different parts to your liking.
I placed them like this.

If you have something else to decorate with,
do so if you like.
You might have a nice butterfly or a bow to add.
