Poppy.

This is a pixel poppy you can make if you need one.

Start with a New Image, 75 x 75, transp, 16 mill. Call it Background.
You can fill this layer with a white color. Just to be able to see better, while you are counting the pixels.
Also put on View, Grid. Then you can count the pixels easier. My settings are like these.

New Layer. Call it Flower. We will make only half of the flower to begin with.
Airbrush 1. Shape: square. Color #7E0421 on the petal-outlines of the flower.
Color #16570B on the outlines of the stalk.

Duplicate this layer in your Layer Palette. Image, Mirror.
Put the two pieces together with your Mover.

Close Layer Background. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Flower.

Set your colors to  #CC0C39 on Foreground and color #F98D9F on Background.

Set Styles to Gradient, Sunburst.

Click on Edit and make these settings.

Click with Magic Wand inside the centre-petal and flood fill. Deselect.

Click inside the left petal and make the settings like this.

Flood fill. Deselect.

Click inside the right petal and make the settings like this.

Click inside the upper petal and make the settings like this.

Click on the stalk. Set Tolerance rather low. Try 40.

This is what we have so far.

Now to the leaf.
New Layer. Call it Leaf1. Set your color to #295515 for the outlines.

Magic Wand. Click inside.
Use the same settings as you did on the right petal, but use
color #456238 on Foreground an color #568537 on Background. Flood fill. Deselect.

Now you can duplicate this layer in your Layer Palette. Image, Mirror.
Put these two leaves on the stem.

Let's make leaf2.

New Layer. Call it Leaf2. Set your color to #1F470B for the outlines.

Magic Wand. Click inside. Make sure everything is selected.
Use the same settings as you did on Leaf1, but use
color #1B5913 on Foreground an color #169828 on Background. Flood fill. Deselect.

Duplicate this layer in your Layer Palette. Image, Mirror.
You will use these leaves together with the bud.

So, let's make the bud.

New Layer. Call it Bud. Color #16570B on the outlines of the stalk.
Color #94142F on the bud.

Set your colors to  #CC0C39 on Foreground and color #F98D9F on Background.
Set Styles to Gradient, Sunburst, the same as on the centreflower.
Click with Magic Wand inside the bud and flood fill. Deselect.

Change color to #456238 on Foreground an color #568537 on Background.
Use the same settings on Styles as before. Click with Magic Wand
inside the top of the bud and flood fill. Deselect.

Stand on Layer Background. Delete.

That was all and you can now arrange the parts in a nice way.

If you use different colors you can have a lot of different poppies.
Flip them or turn them with Deformation Tool if you like.
