Pixel narcissus.

Start with a New Image, 100 x 100, transp, 16 mill.
Zoom the picture to 10:1.

Flood Fill the layer with a dark color
to be able to see better while you are counting the pixels.
Also put on View, Grid. Then you can count the pixels easier.

New Layer. Airbrush1. Shape: square.
Color #D8CEBC on the petal-outlines. The beige inner-shadowlines, you can paint
anyway you like. I haven't numbered those lines. You will smudge them later.
Use Airbrush2 and paint them from the centre and outwards. Color: #DBCD9D.
The brownred color I used for the centre is #D15802.
For the green centre-dot I used color #697418.
Y
ou can do as you like. Just make some green color. The yellow dots are color #FFCE21.

This is what I will call the different petal-parts.

When you are done with the outlines use Magic Wand. Tolerance7.

Retouch Tool, Smudge.

Take a little smudging on the petals.
Start from the inner centre and go outwards.
Take some on the darkgreen centre also.

Delete your Background layer and your narcissus is done.

I guess you want some leaves also.

I have a tutorial on them at the bottom of this page.

Now it is time to do some nice graphics with your flower.
You can change colors with Colorize and you can lighten or darken
with Colors, Adjust, Brightness/Contrast. Flip and Mirror is also usable.
