Pixel daffodil.

Start with a New Image, 100 x 100, transp, 16 mill.
Zoom the picture to 10:1.

Flood Fill the layer with a dark color
to be able to see better while you are counting the pixels.
Also put on View, Grid. Then you can count the pixels easier.

New Layer. Airbrush1. Shape: square.
 Color #FBCF57 on the outlines.
 

This is what I will call the different petal-parts.

When you are done with the outlines use Magic Wand. Tolerance7.
Click inside petal1. Flood Fill with color #FFC209. Selections, Float.
 Effects, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

Magic Wand. Click inside petal2. Flood Fill with the same color.
Selections, Float. Effects, Cutout as before. Deselect.

Magic Wand. Click inside petal3. Flood Fill with the same color.
Selections, Float. Effects, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

Magic Wand. Click inside petal4. Flood Fill with color #F4C41E.
Selections, Float. Effects, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

Magic Wand. Click inside petal5. Flood Fill with color #CFA13A.
Selections, Float. Effects, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

This is your flower now.

    

Retouch Tool, Smudge as below.

Take a little smudging on the petals.
Start from the inner centre and go outwards.



Delete your Background layer and your daffodil is done.


Let's make some leaves also.

Leaf1.

New Image, 100 x 100, transp, 16 mill.
Zoom the picture to 10:1.

Flood Fill the layer with a dark color. Also put on View, Grid.

New Layer. Airbrush1. Shape: square.
 Color #37BE08 on the outlines.
 

 

Magic Wand. Click inside the leaf.
Flood Fill with color #44CE14. Selections, Float.
 Effects, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

Delete the Background layer and leaf1 is done.

We will make another shape of the leaf also.

Leaf2.

New Image, 100 x 100, transp, 16 mill.
Zoom the picture to 10:1.

Flood Fill the layer with a dark color. Also put on View, Grid.

New Layer. Airbrush1. Shape: square.
 Color #37BE08 on the outlines.
 

 

Magic Wand. Click inside the top-part.
Flood Fill with color #2E9C08. Selections, Float.
 Effects, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

Magic Wand. Click inside the lower part.
Flood Fill with color #27770B. Selections, Float.
 Effects, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

Delete the Background layer and leaf2 is done.

If you want a stalk, use Draw, Single Line4 on a New Layer.
I used color #33990F.

Now you can put all the flowerparts together
to a nice arrangement. If you like the parts to be
lighter or darker, use Colors, Adjust, Brightness/Contrast.
You can also change colors by using Colorize.
