Summer hat

This is a hat to decorate your pages with if you like.
You will need my Selections. Get them here.
Zip them up into your PSP-Selections folder.
You will also need Eye Candy for the texture.
Save often!
Start with a New Image 300 x 300,
transparent.
New Layer. Selections, Load from Disk,
one.sel.
Fill it with color #FBECCD. Call the Layer One.
Eye Candy, Weave, Thin ribbons no fill, with these settings.

Deselect.
New Layer. Selections, Load from Disk,
two.sel.
Fill it with color #B7ABB7. Call the Layer Two.
Eye Candy Weave, Thin ribbons no fill, with the same settings. Deselect.
New Layer. Selections, Load from Disk,
three.sel.
Fill it with color #FBECCD. Call the Layer Three.
Eye Candy, Weave, Thin ribbons no fill, with the same settings. Deselect.
New Layer. Selections, Load from Disk,
four.sel.
Fill it with color #FBECCD. Call the Layer Four.
Eye Candy, Weave, Thin ribbons no fill, with the same settings. Deselect.
Your hat will now look like this. Now to the shading.

Stand on Layer Four. Selection Tool. Make a
rectangle around the part. Click inside it.
Effects, 3-D effects, Cutout as below.

Deselect.
Stand on Layer Two. Selection Tool. Make a
rectangle around the part. Click inside it.
Effects, 3-D effects, Cutout as above, but increase the Blur to 55. Deselect.
Stand on Layer One. Selection Tool. Make a
rectangle around the part. Click inside it.
Effects, 3-D effects, Cutout as on Layer Two. Deselect.
Stand on Layer Three. Selection Tool. Make
a rectangle around the part. Click inside it.
Effects, 3-D effects, Cutout as below.

Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Shadow. Selections, Load from Disk,
shadow.sel.
Fill with color #D6BEA0. Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur 12. Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Rim. Selections, Load from Disk,
rim.sel.
Fill it with color #D6BEA0. Use Airbrush 5. Deselect.
This is what it will look like now.

Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the
layer Hat.
Colors, Adjust, Brightness/Contrast. Set Brightness to 12, Contrast 0.
Now you can choose what band you would like. If you choose band.sel it looks
like this.

If you choose band1.sel it looks like this.

New Layer. Call it Band. Selections, Load from Disk,
band.sel or band1.sel.
Fill it with the color of your choice. I chose #BC82A8. Deselect.
Selection Tool. Make a
rectangle around the band. Click inside it.
Effects, 3-D effects, Cutout as below. The same on both bands. Deselect.

If you choose band1.sel you also have to
load rim1.sel on a New Layer
and fill it with a color slightly darker. Use Airbrush 5.
Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur 3. Deselect.
New Layer
Now you have to find some useful tubes to put on your hat.
Use your imagination. I'm sure you will find something nice!
I put some self-made flowers on my hat.
When you are done; Layers, Merge, Merge Visible.

With different colors and texture my other hats look like this.
