Hair.

If you like to have hair on people you draw, this is a way you can use.

You will also have to use the filter Eye Candy.

Start with a New Image 200 x 200, transp, 16 mill. Flood fill with a dark blue color.
So you can have a better look in what you are doing.

New Layer. Call it Curl1. Airbrush 4. Color #C0C0C0. Make some lines.
It is not important how you make them. I made them like this.
I will show this tutorial on a blue backgroud, so you can see better.

All settings from now on, are not necessary for the result.
You can experiment with settings of your own.
Effects, Blur, Blur more.

Eye Candy, Fur, Long and wavy.

Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur 1.

Duplicate. Image, Flip. Drag the copy a little to the right.

Close your blue background layer. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible.
Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the hair, rather narrow.
Effects, Geometric, CurlyQz.

Deselect.

Duplicate this layer. Call it Curl2. Close Curl1. Effects, Geometric, Wave.

Duplicate this layer. Call it Curl3. Close Curl2.

Effects, Geometric, Ripple.

Duplicate this layer. Call it Curl4. Close Curl3.

Eye Candy, Jiggle, Typical Turbulence.

Duplicate this layer. Call it Curl5. Close Curl4.

Effects, Geometric, Twirl -100.

Stand on Curl1. Close all other layers. Deformation Tool. Push the hair together a bit.

Do the same with all layers. No hairpiece has to be larger than 150 x 150.

Now we are going to Export those curls as a Tube.

Make a New Image 750 x 170. Copy Curl1 and Paste as a New Layer on the New Image you just made.

Do the same with all the layers. If you havn't got the ruler on, you must do so now. Go to View, Ruler.
Place the curls within 150. If some curl still is too big, use Deformation Tool and push it together.

Stand on the second curl. Colors, Adjust Brightness/Contrast. Set Brightness to 10.
Stand on the third curl. Colors, Adjust Brightness/Contrast. Set Brightness to 20.
Stand on the fourth curl. Colors, Adjust Brightness/Contrast. Set Brightness to 30.

Layers, Merge, Merge Visible.

File, Export, Picture Tube.

Now you have got the hair in your Tubes folder, ready to be used in some nice pictures.
Remember to change size on the curls now and then.

If you want another color on the hair, use Color, Red/Green/Blue.

Black =            -100,     -75,     -65
Golden =              7,       -3,     -40
Red =                  20,      -75,    -65
Brown =             -40,      -75,    -85
