Would you like to make this romantic Christmas card?
Get my selections here. The zip also includes a band and the laced background.
Zip the selections up in your PSP Selections folder
and the band and background in your PSP Image folder.

Start with a New Image, 360 x 450, transp, 16 mill.
New Layer. Call it Bell. Selections, Load from disk, christmasbell, bell.sel.
Set Foreground  color to white, Background color to #BFDBD3.
Set your Styles like this. Foreground Solid, Background Gradient.

Set your Gradient box like this.

Click on the Edit button and make these settings.

Flood Fill with your right mousebutton. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Bellinside. Selections, Load from disk, christmasbell, bellinside.sel.
Foreground Solid color #788C83, Background Gradient color #9FC1B5.

Make these settings in your Styles, Gradient box.

Click on Edit and make these settings.

Flood Fill with your right mousebutton. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Rim. Selections, Load from disk, christmasbell, rim.sel.
Foreground Solid color #EEF4EE, Background Gradient color #BBBA8D.
Make these settings in your Styles, Gradient box.

Click on Edit and make these settings.

Flood Fill with your right mousebutton. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Tap. Selections, Load from disk, christmasbell, tap.sel.
Foreground Solid color #9FC1B5, Background Gradient color #EEF4EE.
Make these settings in your Styles, Gradient box.

Click on Edit and make these settings.

Flood Fill with your right mousebutton. Deselect.

This is what you will have now.

Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Bell.

New Layer. Call it Bigflower. Selections, Load from disk, christmasbell, bigflower.sel.
Foreground Solid color #9FC1B5, Background Gradient color #EEF4EE.
Make these settings in your Styles, Gradient box.

Click on Edit and make these settings.

Flood Fill with your right mousebutton. Retouch tool, Lightness Up as below.

Lighten the petals at the ends a little.

Retouch tool, Lightness Down as below.

Lower the lightness at the center of the flower a bit.

New Layer. Airbrush 2, color #E8EECF. Make some dots around the centre.

Close layer Bell. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Bigflower.

Duplicate this flower in your Layers palette. Image, Resize as below.

Make sure the box "Resize all layers" is unchecked.

Now you have the flower for the decoration of the bell.
Effects, 3D, Drop Shadow as below.

Duplicate this flower three times and put the flowers on the bell like this.

Close Layer Bigflower. Layers Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Bell.

Duplicate the bell, Image, Mirror.
Put this bell a little higher than the first one with your Mover.
Stand on Layer Bigflower in your Layer palette. Layers, Arrange, Bring to top.

This is what you will have so far.

Get the band you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it as a New Layer. Call the layer Band.
Layers, Arrange, Send to bottom. Place it with your Mover. Look at the image
at the top of this tutorial.

New Layer. Call it Leaves1. Selections, Load from disk, christmasbell, leaves1.sel.
Foreground Solid color #779B95, Background Gradient color #D4E0DA.
Make these settings in your Styles, Gradient box.

Click on Edit and make these settings.

Flood Fill with your right mousebutton.
Layers, View, Current Only. New Layer. Draw, Freehand tool as below.

Foreground color #83A39D. Background closed. Draw nice little weins on the leaves.

Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Leaves1.

New Layer. Call it Leaves2. Selections, Load from disk, christmasbell, leaves2.sel.
Foreground Solid color #779B95, Background Gradient color #D4E0DA.
Make the  same settings as on Leaves1. Flood Fill with your right mousebutton.

New Layer. Draw, Freehand tool as before. Make veins on the leaves.
Close layers Bell, Copy of bell, Band, Leaves1 and Bigflower.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Leaves2.

Stand on Layer Copy of bell. New Layer. Call it Leaf.
Selections, Load from disk, christmasbell, leaf.sel.
Foreground Solid color #788C83, Background Gradient color #9FC1B5.
Make sure "Invert Gradient" is unchecked this time.

Flood Fill with your right mousebutton. New layer. Draw as before. Make veins on the leaf.
Close all other layers except these two leaf layers.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Leaf.

Stand on Layer Bigflower in your Layer Palette. Duplicate.
Image, Resize set to 70 % . "Resize all layers" unchecked.
Effects, Sharpen once. Place the flower somewhere on the leaves.

Stand on Layer Bigflower again in your Layer Palette. Duplicate.
Image, Resize set to 50 % . "Resize all layers" unchecked.
Effects, Sharpen once. Place the flower somewhere on the leaves.

Stand on Layer Bigflower again in your Layer Palette. Duplicate.
Image, Resize set to 30 % . "Resize all layers" unchecked.
Effects, Sharpen once. Place the flower somewhere on the leaves.

Make sure your layers are in this order. If they are not, click on the layers
keep your leftmousebutton in and drag the layers where they ought to be.

Stand on Layer Bigflower. Effects, 3D, Drop Shadow as below.

Stand on Layer Copy of Bell. Effects, 3D, Drop Shadow as below.

Stand on Layer Leaf. Effects, 3D, Drop Shadow as below.

If you want to change anything, do so now. When it looks all right to you,
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Bell.
If you want a drop shadow on the bells, use these settings.
 

Get the laced background you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it as a New Layer.
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom. If you want a drop shadow on the background,
use the same settings as above.

Now your Christmas card is done.

 If you like to add a text do so .

You can add a background to your card also. Place the picture to your right,
 print it out, fold it at the centre and send it as a Christmas greeting.
