Christmas dog.

Get the zip here with a branch, an apple, a ball, a small star,
a topstar, candy cane, the face and a bow.
Zip them up in your PSP image folder.

Start with a New Image 200 x 300, transp, 16 mill.
Get the branch you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it as a New Layer.
Duplicate the layer at least seven times. Use Deformation toll to turn the branches. Put them together like this.
Make sure you will put the branches so the tree will be cone shaped.

Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the Layer Branches1.
This will be the top of the tree.

Get the candy cane you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it three times.
Put them on the tree like this. Use Deformation tool to turn them if you like.

Close Layer Branches1. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible.
Call the layer Candycanes1.

Get the branch you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it eleven times.
Turn them with Deformation Tool. Put the branches underneath
 Branch1 like this.

Close layers Branch1 and Candycanes. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible.
Call the layer Branches2. Place it like this.

Get the candycane again. Copy and Paste it two times.
Place the canes like this.

Get the branch again. Copy and Paste it four times. Place them like this.

Close layers Branch1 and 2 and the Candycane layers.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Branch3.
 Place it at  the bottom of the tree.

New Layer. Call it Body. Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Color #D2A896 on both Fore- and Background. Antialias checked. Make an ellipse 50 x 65.
Place it infront of the tree.
Selections, select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Pot. Preset Shapes, Rounded Rectangle. Color #734B13
on both Fore- and Background. Make a rectangle 80 x 75.
Deformation tool. Keep Ctrl down while you push this node inwards a bit.

Apply.

Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect. Put the pot infront of the body.

New Layer. Call it Potrim. Preset Shapes, Rounded Rectangle.
Color #734B13 on both Fore- and Background. Make a rectangle 90 x 20.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect. Put it ontop of the pot.

Close all other layers except these two pot layers.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Pot.

Now to the arms.
New Layer. Color #D9B6A2 on both Fore- and Background.
Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Make an ellipse 20 x 40.
This is the middle part of the arm.

New Layer. Color #D9B6A2 on both Fore- and Background.
Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Make an ellipse 21 x 27. Image, Rotate, Right 15.
Put it on top of the middle arm-part.

New Layer. Color #D9B6A2 on both Fore- and Background.
Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Make an ellipse 18 x 23. Image, Rotate, Left 25.
Put it at the bottom of the middle arm-part.

Close all other layers except these three arm layers.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Arm.
Duplicate, Image, Mirror. Place the arms a bit apart.

Close all other layers except these two arm layers.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Arms.
Selections, select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Paintbrush. Color #785436. Settings like this.

Paint the toes like this.

Now to the head.

New Layer.  Color #D9B6A2 on both Fore- and Background.
Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Make an ellipse 32 x 30.

New Layer.  Color #D9B6A2 on both Fore- and Background.
Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Make an ellipse 45 x 25.

Put these two head layer like this.

Close all other layers except these two head layers.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Head.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before,
but lower the Opacity to 45. Deselect.

Get the face you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it as a New Layer.
Place it like this.

New Layer. Call it Ear1. Preset Shapes, Ellipse.
Color #845D46 on both Fore- and Background.
Make an ellipse 26 x 12. Image, Rotate, Left25.

New Layer. Preset Shapes, Ellipse.
Color #845D46 on both Fore- and Background.
Make an ellipse 17 x 23. Image, Rotate, Right25.
Put the two ear pieces together like this.

Close all layers except these two ear-layers. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible.
Call it Ear1. Place it on the head. Selections, select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Ear2. Preset Shapes, Ellipse.
Color #845D46 on both Fore- and Background.
Make an ellipse 15 x 23. Image, Rotate, Left 30.

New Layer. Preset Shapes, Ellipse.
Color #845D46 on both Fore- and Background.
Make an ellipse 30 x 12. Image, Rotate, Left 10.

Close all layers except these two ear-layers.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Ear2. Place it on the head.
Selections, select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before.
Deselect. Place the ears like this.

New Layer. Paintbrush. Color #563928. Settings as before.
Paint a small line on each ear like this.

Get the bow you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it as a New Layer.
Put it under the dogs chin.

Close all layers of the Branches + Candycanes + Body +Pot.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Dog.
If you like, you can put a Drop Shadow on this layer.
If you do, use these settings.

Get the small star you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it several times
and place the stars on the tree.

Get the apple you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it several times
and place the apples on the tree.

Get the ball you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it several times
and place the balls on the tree.

Get the topstar you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it
and place the star on top of the tree.

We are almost done now, but first we will give the dog
a juicy bone for Christmas.

Stand on Layer Pot. New Layer. Call it Bone.
Preset Shapes, Rectangle. White color on both Fore- and Background.
Make a rectangle 55 x 10.
New Layer. Preset Shapes heart. White color. Make the heart 18 x 17.
Place it at the end of the rectangle. Duplicate, Image, Mirror.
Put it at the other end. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Bone.

 Selections, Select all. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect. Place it under the paws. Image, Rotate, Left 10.

Now, go through your picture. If you want to change anything, do so now.
When you like what you see, Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
and you are done.
