Bunny.

This little bunny is made with Preset Shapes and Image, Rotate.
You will need filters Eye Candy and
Paint Engine for the fur.
But you can also do this tutorial with PSP's own settings. See below, marked
with red color.
Start with a New Image 300 x 300, transp, 16 mill.
Make your Layer Palette visible. New Layer.
Call it Foot1.
Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Antialias checked. Color #C68620 on both Fore- and
Background.
Make an ellipse 30 x 70. You can see the size at the bottom of your screen.
![]()
Image, Rotate Left 115. Place this foot at the bottom of your canvas, a little
to your left.
New Layer. Call it Ankle. Preset Shapes,
the same settings as before.
Color #D59220 on both Fore- and Background.
Make an ellipse 30 x 20. Image, Rotate Left 12. Place this part on top of the
foot like this.

New Layer. Call it Leg1. Preset Shapes, the
same settings as before.

Make an ellipse 60 x 70. Image, Rotate, Right 20. Place this part on top of the
ankle like this.

Close Layer Foot1. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Leg1.
New Layer. Call it Toe. Preset Shapes,
Ellipse. Color #C4AD6F on both Fore- and Background.
Make an ellipse 7 x 5. No rotating. Place the toe like this.

Duplicate the toe. Image, Rotate, Right 40.
Duplicate the first toe again. Image, Rotate, Left 60. Place the toes on the foot like this.

Close Layers, Foot1 and Leg1. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Toes.
That was Leg1, now to Leg2. We will now
copy those leg parts.
I will not Merge them until we have made the fur. It looks better that way.
Stand on Layer Foot1 in your Layer Palette.
Right click on the layer. Duplicate. Rename it Foot2.
Place this foot a little to your right.
Stand on Layer Toes in your Layer Palette. Duplicate. Call it Toes2. Place the toes on top of Foot2.
Stand on Layer Leg1 in your Layer Palette. Duplicate. Call it Leg2. Place the leg on top of Foot2.
Now it looks like this.

Stand on Layer Toes2. New Layer. Call it
Body. Preset Shapes, Ellipse.
Color #D8A415 on both Fore- and Background. Make an ellipse 90 x 123.
Image, Rotate Right 12. Place the body like this.

Stand on Layer Toe2. New Layer. Call it
Tail. Preset Shapes, Ellipse.
White color on both Fore- and Background. Make several small ellipses on the
same layer.
Put them together to form a tail.
![]()
Place the tail at the rabbits bottom.

New Layer. Call it
Arm1. Preset Shapes, Ellipse.
Color #D59220 on both Fore- and Background. Make the ellipse 26 x 46.
Image, Rotate, Right 40. Place it at the upper part of the body.
Duplicate this layer. Call it Arm2. Image,
Rotate, Left 60.
Place the two arm-parts together like this. Make sure it fits nicely at the
elbow.

New Layer. Call it Hand. Preset Shapes, Ellipse.
The same color.
Make the hand 27 x 30. Place it on top of Arm2, like this.

Close all layers except Arm1 + Arm2 + Hand. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Arm1.

Stand on layer Body. New Layer. Call it
Arm2. Preset Shapes, Ellipse.
The same color. Make the arm 26 x 46. Image, Rotate, Right 40.
Duplicate this layer. Image, Rotate, Left
50. Place the arm-part like this.
Be careful about the fitting of the elbow.

New Layer. Call it Hand. Preset Shapes, Ellipse.
The same color. Make the hand 27 x 30. No Rotating. Place it like this.

Close all layers, except Copy of Arm2 and
Hand Layers.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Arm3.
Do not Merge Arm2 and Arm3,
in case you want the bunny to hold something in his hand.
New Layer. Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Color
#AD7A28. Background closed.
Make an ellipse 12 x 9. Duplicate it two times and put them together like this.

Close all layers except these three
finger-layers. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible.
Call it Fingers. Put the fingers on top of the hand of Arm3. Selection Tool,
Freehand.
Antialias checked. Mark the parts shown here.

Delete. Deselect. Now the bunny has got fingers also.

Close all layers except Arm3 and Fingers. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Arm3.
Now to the fingers of the other hand.
New Layer. Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Color:
Foreground #AD7A28. Background #D59220.
Make an ellipse 14 x 8. Duplicate it two times. Place them like this.
![]()
Close all layers except these three finger
layers. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Fingers.
Airbrush 1. Color #D59220. Now you have to paint
like I did. Only a little
at the end of the fingers, just to get rid of the darker color.

Place the fingers on the other hand.

This is what you have got so far.

New Layer. Call it
Ear. Preset Shapes, Ellipse.
Color #D59220 on both Fore- and Background. Make the ellipse 30 x 65.
Image, Rotate, Left 30. Place the ear to the left, at the upper part of the head.
You can adjust it later when you have the head in place.
New Layer. Call it Inner ear. Preset Shapes,
Ellipse.
Color #FACBC0 on both Fore- and Background. Make the innerear 15 x 50.
Image, Rotate, Left 30. Place it on top of the ear.

Duplicate layer Ear in you Layer Palette. Image, Mirror.
Duplicate layer Innerear in you Layer Palette. Image, Mirror.
Put those two layers on the right side of the head with the innerear ontop of the ear.
New Layer. Call it Headtop. Preset Shapes,
Ellipse.
Color #D8A415 on both Fore- and Background. Make the top 70 x 55.
New Layer. Call it Head. Preset Shapes, Heart.

Make the heart 110 x 80. Edge upwards.
Selection Tool, Rectangle. Mark half of the heart.

Push that half to your right, over the right
part a bit.
We do so to make the head a little smaller and to make the chin look a little
better.

Now, place the top part and the head together like this.

Close all other layers except Headtop and
Head. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Head.
Place it on top of the body.
In your Layer Palette, drag layer Ear on
top and then drag layer innerear on top.
Your picture will look like this now. Arrange the ears.

Stand on layer Innerear. New Layer. Call it
Muzzle. Preset Shapes, Ellipse. Color #FFE8B7,
on both Fore- and Background. Make the muzzle 40 x 30. Place it like this.

New Layer. Call it Eye. Preset Shapes,
Ellipse. Black color
on both Fore- and Background. Make the eye 9 x 9.
Keep Shift down while you make the circle, that will make it round.
Effects, 3D, Inner Bevel, Round. Duplicate. Place the eyes like this.

New Layer. Call it Nose. Preset Shapes,
Heart. Color #EC7883
on both Fore- and Background. Make the nose 15 x 11. Place it on top of the
muzzle.
New Layer. Call it Mouth. Preset Shapes,
Ellipse. Line width 2. Color #AA9164 on Foreground.
Background closed. Make the mouth 24 x 32. Place it under the nose.
Selection Tool, Rectangle. Mark the upper part.

Delete, Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Line. Draw. Single Line,
Width1. Color #AA9164.
Make a small line, 0 x 9, from the nose to the mouth. Place it just under the
edge of the heart.

Close all layers, except Layers Eye, Copy
of Eye, Mouth and Line.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Face.
This is your picture so far. Cute little fellow isn't he?

Deselect.
Now you have to go through your picture.
There might be some darker pixels here and there.
Use Retouch Tool, Soften on those spots.
I think the toes looks a little too bright.
Therefore we will darken them a bit.
Stand on Layer Toe. Colors, Adjust, Brightness/Contrast.
Set Brightness to -50. Contrast to 0.
Stand on Layer Toes2 and do the same.
Look through your picture now. Arrange all bodyparts to your liking.
That was that. Our little fellow looks like this now.

Close layers Fingers + Arm3 and Background
if you have one.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Body.
Now it's time to figure out what to carry.
I will give my bunny an Eastregg and some
flowers.
Stand on Layer Body Copy and Paste as a New Layer, what you want him to hold.
Close Layer Background (if you have one). Layers, Merge, Merge Visible and you
are done.

I think they are going to have a party. Will you come along?
