Stalks and leaves.

Now to the stalks and leaves.

Close Layers A + B + Background. New Layer. Selections, Load from disk,  Mechonopsis.

You have to get all selections on separate layers,
and give the layers the same names as the selections.
 Flood Fill with the colors shown here.

When you have done that. Stand on Layer Stalk1. Layers, View, Current only.
Effects, 3D, Inner Bevel as below.

New Layer. Color #869D7B. Draw 1. Draw tiny little prickles along the stem.
Zoom the picture to see better.

Layers, Merge Visible. Call the layer Stalk.
Close the layer and stand on leaf1. Selections, Select all. Selections, Float.
New Layer. Draw with color #869D7B and # 336333 lines on the leaf as shown.

 Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur 4. Keep it selected.
New Layer. Draw some contours like this, with color #869D7B.

Draw small prickles on the leaf. Lower the Opacity on this layer to 70.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Leaf1. Deselect.
The leaf might look like this now.

Close this layer and stand on the next leaf layer.
Do the same with all leaf layers.

When all leaf layers are done, stand on Layer Bulb1.
Selections, Select all. Selections, Float.
Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Airbrush 2. Draw a line as below.

Retouch Tool, Soften. Soften the line a little.
New Layer. Draw1, the same color. Draw some small prickles on the bulb.
Lower the Opacity to 70 on this layer.

Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Bulb1. Close the layer.

Stand on layer Bulb2 and do the same procedure.
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Bulb2. Close the layer.

Stand on Layer Bulbrim. Selections, select all. Selections, Float.
New Layer. Color #7E9470. Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur 5.
New Layer. Draw the lines. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call it Bulbrim. Deselect.

Layers, View all. Let's put all layers in their right positions.

In your Layer Palette, stand on Layer A. Layers, Arrange, Bring to top.
Stand on Layer B. Layers, Arrange, Bring to top.

This is how they are placed now.

Finally it's time to go through all layers.
When you are satisfied with what you see,
delete Layer Background and Layers, Merge, Merge Visible to the rest.
