Baby-angel with birthstones.

A little angel tells us the month you were born.

Get my selections here and zip them up in your PSP, Selections folder.
The zip also includes the face, the monthstones, month text and the cloth pattern.
Unzip the face and monthstones in your PSP Image folder and the pattern in your PSP Patterns folder.

Start with a New Image, 350 x 350, transp, 16 mill.
New Layer. Call it Wings. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, wings.sel.
Flood Fill with color #DDEEF7. Deselect.

Set Match Mode to None in your Tool Options palette.
That way you will fill all selections with just one click.

New Layer. Call it Wingshadows. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, wingshadows.sel.
Flood Fill with color #AEC4D1. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Winglines. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, winglines.sel.
Flood Fill with white color. Deselect.

Layers Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Wings.

New Layer. Call it Body. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, body.sel.
Get the pattern you got in the zip or get a pattern or color of your own choice.
Set Styles, Foreground to Pattern.

Look in the box for pattern trelj.jpg. Select it. Flood Fill.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Sole1. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, sole1.sel.
Flood fill with color #DDEEF7. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Leg1. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, leg1.sel.
Flood fill with the same pattern as on body. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Legshadow1. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, legshadow1.sel.
Flood fill with color #CFE2F0. Deselect.

Close layer Wings. Layers Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Leg1.

New Layer. Call it Sole2. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, sole2.sel.
Flood fill with color #DDEEF7. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Leg2. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, leg2.sel.
Flood fill with the same pattern as on body. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Legshadow2. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, legshadow2.sel.
Flood fill with color #CFE2F0. Deselect.

Close layer Wings +Leg1. Layers Merge, Merge Visible. Call the layer Leg2.

New Layer. Call it Arms. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, arms.sel.
Flood fill with the same pattern as on body. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Cuffs. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, cuffs.sel.
Flood fill with color #DDEEF7. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Bib. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, bib.sel.
Flood fill with white color. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.
Effects, Texture, Weave as below.

New Layer. Call it Biblace. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, biblace.sel.
Flood fill with white color. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Cap. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, cap.sel.
Flood fill with color #F3EDE9.  Effects, Texture, Weave as before.
Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Capshadow. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, capshadow.sel.
Flood fill with color #A4ADC0. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Caplace. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, caplace.sel.
Flood fill with white color. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Head. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, head.sel.
Flood fill with color #F3D0B9. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as below.

Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Caprim. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, caprim.sel.
Flood fill with white color. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Hair-dark. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, hair-dark.sel.
Flood fill with color #E6BF6D. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Hair-light. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, hair-light.sel.
Flood fill with color #F8CB72. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Hair-curl. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, hair-curl.sel.
Flood fill with color #E6BD66. Deselect.

Get the face you got in the zip. Copy and Paste it as a New Layer. Call the layer Face.
Put the face in place with your Mover. Or you can make a face of your own.

New Layer. Call it Star1. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, star1.sel.
Flood fill with color #FDDC43. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before,
but change shadow color to #FC8524. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Star2. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, star2.sel.
Flood fill with color #FDDC43. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as before,
but change shadow color to white. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Hands. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, hands.sel.
Flood fill with color #F3D0B9. Selections, Float. Effects, 3D, Cutout as on head. Deselect.

New Layer. Call it Fingers. Selections, Load from disk, baby_angel, fingers.sel.
Flood fill with color #C79B7B. Deselect.

This is what we have now.

We will do some more shading before we finish. Stand on layer Arms in your Layer Palette.
Effects, 3D, Drop Shadow as below.

Stand on layer Bib in your Layer Palette. Effects, 3D, Drop Shadow as before.

Stand on layer Leg2 in your Layer Palette. Effects, 3D, Drop Shadow as before.

Stand on layer Star1 in your Layer Palette. Effects, 3D, Drop Shadow as before.

Stand on layer Star2 in your Layer Palette. Effects, 3D, Drop Shadow as before.

Get the monthstones you got in the zip. Choose the one you want in your Layer Palette.
Copy and Paste it as a New Layer. Place it with your Mover in the middle of the star.
There can be some differences in what stone belongs to which month, but this is what I have found out.
I hope it is okay this way.

Would you like to add the name of the month, do so now. Open your Month text image that you got in the zip.
Look in the Layer Palette for the month. Copy and Paste it as a New Layer. Place it above the angel.
