You can get my Selections here for this lovely flower.
Zip them up in your PSP Selections folder.

This is how I made my Sweet Peas.

Open a New Image, 400 x 400, transp, 16 mill.
Selections, Load from disk, Sweetpea.
Load all selections on separate layers. Give them color and Opacity
according to this list. Keep your Layers Palette visible so you can change the Opacity.
You just pull the handle to your left.

Save the layer with the same name as it has in the sel-file.
Your first layer will be a1, the second layer will be a2 and so on.

This is your picture right now.

Let's go on.

When you have colored all layers and checked the Opacity, we will put on some shading.
Use Airbrush2, color #DA7CA4. I use the same color on all flower-parts.

Stand on Layer a1. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some color just like I did.

Motion Blur angle 196 - 40pix. Gaussian Blur 2.
Merge Visible with a1. Call the layer a1. Deselect.

Close Layer a1 and stand on a2. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put a litte color in the middle of the petal. Motion Blur 41 - 40.
Gaussian Blur 1. Merge Visible with Layer a2. Call the Layer a2. Deselect.

Close Layer a2 and stand on Layer a3. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some color on the petals lower part.  Motion Blur 153 - 40.
Gaussian Blur 2. Merge Visible with  layer a3. Call the layer a3. Deselect.

Close Layer a3 and stand on Layer a4. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some color on the petals lower part. Motion Blur 201 -40.
Gaussian Blur 3. Merge Visible with Layer a4. Call the Layer a4.
a5 and a6 are rims.  They will have no shadow.
Merge Visible on all a-layers . Call it A. Deselect.

This is your flower A.

Let's go to flower B.

Stand on Layer b1. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some color on the petal like I did.

Motion Blur 154 - 40. Gaussian Blur 3. Merge Visible with layer b1. Call the layer b1. Deselect.

Stand on Layer b2. Close all other Layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some color on the petals right side. Motion Blur 176 - 40. Gaussian Blur 3.
Merge Visible med lager b2. Call it b2. Deselect.

Stand on Layer b3. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some color on the petals right side. Motion Blur 209 - 40. Gaussian Blur 3.
Merge Visible with Layer b3. Call it b3. Deselect.

Stand on Layer b4. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some color on the petals right side. Motion Blur 209 - 40. Gaussian Blur 3.
Merge Visible with Layer b4. Call it b4. Deselect.

Stand on Layer b5. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some color on the petals right side. Motion Blur 277 - 40. Gaussian Blur 2.
Merge Visible with Layer b5. Call it b5. Deselect.

b6 + b7 are rims. They will have no shadow. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible to all b-Layers. Call it B.

This is flower B.

Let's go to flower C.

Stand on Layer c1. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some color on the petals left side. Motion Blur 226 - 40. Gaussian Blur 5.
Merge Visible with Layer c1. Call it c1. Deselect.

Stand on Layer c2. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some color on the petals left side. Motion Blur 13 - 40. Gaussian Blur 3.
Merge Visible with Layer c2. Call it c2. Deselect.

Stand on Layer c3. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put very little color on the petals left side. Gaussian Blur 3.
Merge Visible with Layer c3. Call it c3. Deselect.

Stand on Layer c4. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put very little color on the petals left side. Gaussian Blur 4.
Merge Visible with Layer c4. Call it c4. Deselect.
c5 + c6 are rims without any shadows.
Merge Visible to all c- Layers. Call it C.

This is flower C.

Flower D.

Stand on Layer d1. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some color on the petals lower centre part. Gaussian Blur 3.
Merge Visible with Layer d1. Call it d1. Deselect.

Stand on Layer d2. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some color on the petals lower centre part. Motion Blur 120 - 40.
Gaussian Blur 5. Merge Visible with Layer d2. Call it d2. Deselect.

Stand on Layer d3. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some color on the petals lower centre part. Motion Blur 130  - 40.
Gaussian Blur 3. Merge Visible with Layer d3. Call it d3. Deselect.

Stand on Layer d4. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some color on the petals lower centre part. Motion Blur 260  - 40.
Gaussian Blur 3. New Layer. Put some more color at the lower part of the petal. Gaussian Blur 9.
Merge Visible to those threeLayers + Layer d4. Call it d4. Deselect.

Stand on Layer d5. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the flower.
Click inside. New Layer. Put on a very tiny bit of color. Gaussian Blur 3.
Merge Visible with d5. Call it d5. Merge all d-layers and call the Layer D. Deselect.
 

This is flower D.

Stand on Layer Stalk. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the stalk.
Click inside. New Layer. Put some green lines along the stalk. Use Airbrush2, color #03C311.

Gaussian Blur 2. Merge Visible on this Layer + Layer Stalk. Call it Stalk. Deselect.

Stand on Layer Leaf. Close all other layers. Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the stalk.
Click inside. New Layer. Draw three green lines along the leaf. Use Airbrush2, color #79826E.
Retouch Tool 10, Soften. Soften the lines a bit.
Airbrush2, color #03C311. Make some more lines on the leaf, like this.

Motion Blur 285 - 40. Gaussian Blur 9. Merge Visible on the new layers + Layer Leaf.
Call it Leaf. Deselect.

Now your Sweet Pea is ready. You did a great job!

Can you smell the scent?

With other colors the flower can look like this. You can change the colors with Colorize if you like.
