Flower hat.

This is a hat to decorate your pages with if you like.

You will need my Selections. Get them here.
Zip them up into your PSP-Selections folder.
You will also need Eye Candy.

Save often!

Start with a New Image 300 x 300, transparent.

New Layer. Selections, Load from Disk, brim.sel.
Fill it with color #84572E. Call the Layer Brim.

Eye Candy Weave, Linen with these settings.

Selection Tool. Make a Rectangle around your brim. Click inside it.
Effects, 3-D effects, Cutout.

Deselect.

Effects, 3-D effects, Inner Bevel.

New Layer. Call it Top. Selections, Load from Disk, top.sel. Fill it with color #84572E.
Selection Tool. Make a rectangle around the top. Click inside it. Effects, 3-D effect, Cutout as below.

Stand om Layer Brim. New Layer. Color #937E4A.
Airbrush 3. Make a circle around the top like this.

Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur 8.

Close Layer Top. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Call the Layer Brim.

Stand on Layer Top. New Layer. Call it Band. Selections, Load from disk, band.sel.
Fill with the color of your choice. I used #DE9909 and Eye Candy, HSB Noise, Transparent Haze.
You may test different settings to your liking. Since I found the colors a little too sharp.
I used a Cutout with following settings. If you take another filling
you might not have to make this Cutout. You choose.
Selection Tool. Make a rectangle, click inside it. Effects, 3-D effects, Cutout.

Deselect.
New Layer. Call it Band. Selections, Load from disk Band.sel.
Fill with the same color you have on your band. Selection Tool.
Make a rectangle around the band and click inside it. Cutout as below.

Deselect. Stand on Layer Brim. Deformation Tool. Push the marked nodes
inwards on both sides very little. It will make the shape a little more oval. Apply.

Make sure all layers are open. Layers, Merge, Merge Visible. Effects, Sharpen once.

Your hat is ready and now to the fun part, the decoration! You can use just anything you like.
Look if you have some useful tubes. I used my own-made flowers. But anything will do.
